View Full Version : 2 Nights/3 days to Las Vegas or Orlando, including Round Trip Air + Hotel $49-for 2!

Bought this deal today though new Groupon-site eDailyQuest: http://www.edailyquest.com/index.php?city_id=14
Fly out of Bellingham OR Seattle to Las Vegas or Orlando.
No date/time restrictions, however you need to book 90 days in advance minimum and the voucher expires in a year.
FINE PRINT:
- One-time redemption fee of $65 for processing, postage and handling
- At the time of booking your reservations, a reservation processing fee for pertinent fees and taxes , and any miscellaneous expenses where applicable, is required and payable to the fulfilling travel agency that will book your reservations. These fees and taxes can range from $55 per person to $150, depending on airline, hotel, where you are traveling from and your destination. We always quote the max to be safe. This means your trip will cost a total of $49 + $65 =$114 for two people, plus applicable taxes and fees.
I asked them and they said they tell you the hotel and taxes due at the time of booking. If you don't like the hotel/taxes you can upgrade to a nicer hotel (the deal guarantees a 3 star min) or book another time with no penalty.
Seems legit, couldn't find any info saying anything bad about the company doing the deal. Only caveat is being pretty flexible and OK with the element of surprise.
Anyways, I am taking the risk since it's super cheap. Use my referral link below if you buy pleases :)

I bought one of these and they told me the only day you can fly out is Tuesday night. It was a different company, but that could be a surprise you get when you try to book your departure time.
We all know the saying if it sounds too good to be true...
but good luck!!

This one has been making the rounds. Avoid.
The alarm bells should be going off after visiting the website that the 'deal' is through.
If they're not, I have a large sum of cash from a Nigerian prince that I would like to transfer to your Western union account. Please contact me.

Someone asked and they specifically said it can be used in any day:

Hi there, just wondering if we can chose ANY dates, ie a Fri to Sunday and if we can choose our own airport to fly out of?

Re: Amy B commented February 22, 2011 22:1 pm
Hi Neera!
You can select specific dates and yes you can select a airport, it would need to be a US International Airport.
If you have further questions please visit this link: http://www.nextstagetravel.com/QA.html

There is a couple fishy things about this:
PS. I just bought 2 vouchers :(
The earliest you can book a trip is 90days after you buy the vouchers. By then, I don't then you can reverse a charge on your credit card.
The domain name for http://nextstagetravel.com was registered September of last year. They opted for a private WHOIS record, which means they don't want people to know their address or telephone number.
http://nextstagetravel.com is full of spelling mistakes.
If they were a serious business, they would have invested more money into having a more professional website: http://nextstagetravel.com
FULL DETAILS HERE: http://www.nextstagetravel.com/edqv.html
From my understanding it's:
$45 for the Voucher (pay right away to eDailyQuest)
$65 deposit/processing, postage and handling fee
$100 for taxes of hotels and airfare
They said that the hotels are brokered later and in the past they've stayed at Imperial Palace, Golden Nuggent, and some time share hotels.
I'm going to book a trip in May and hope it's not a scam :-0

If these people called your house with a recorded message offering you $49 trip to Las Vegas or Orlando would you buy it?
Or maybe a "resort in Collingwood".
Please think twice before putting your hard earned money down.
The imperial palace is a dump and not worth your time.
If you want to go to Vegas book it through a reputable source and Fly Southwest for cheap direct flights.

Haha, I like the 90 day term, just far enough that you can't do a charge back. Anyways, something like this looks too good to be true, and with Las Vegas especially, there's always strings attached.

OK so this gets weird, I followed the instructions to get my certificate voucher number, and then you are asked to go to this website: http://www.redeemcertificateoffer.com where you redeem your number and pay the $65 transaction fee BEFORE you can even book your trip. This site looks pretty bad as well.
Thoughts??

certificateoffers.com redeemcertificateoffer.com dreamgetawayforyou.com bahamascruiseforyou.com familyvacationforyou.com paradisevacationforyou.com www.certificateforyou.com
Then there is a connection sites that offer certificates for shopping, gas, flights, cruises, hotels, all inclusive, groceries, golf, restaraunts the list goes on.
I also found connection to timeshare websites.
All these websites are registered to the same person. The phone # is fake on the registry, but not hard to find another number that could be real. The phone number I found is 925-465-1499.
Looked up the address for the place the certs are sent and a ton of business come up.
Home Health Care, Loans, Insurance, Staffing, Lawyers ect. I'm guessing this place offers cubical rentals/temporary office space.
The owner of the first sites listed is Ms. Lauren Demitri, Owner
Heres one of the Better Business links for her business http://www.bbb.org/greater-san-francisco/business-reviews/vacation-certificates-and-vouchers/vacation-getaways-in-dublin-ca-74913
A lot of complaints but still holds an A rating.
http://ezinearticles.com/?How-Vacation-Certificates-Can-Help-Your-Business&id=692151 heres an "article"/ad the owner wrote.
Shes also the founder of WorkFromHomeResources.com although the website no longer exists. Major Rewards LLC, Internet Marketing Solutions LLC.
I bet you could find a list of 50 businesses and 200 websites for this women.
I think shes essentially taken the concept of offering these "deals" as a very small part time income, and duplicated is many, many times to make some money from it.

With all that said, a lot of these vacation certs are normally "legitimate", a friend use to use them with their business as an intensive to customers. The only thing you always have to pay some cash, more then you ever see stated anywhere, this is to help with their out of pocket costs, flights, commission, ect. you normally stay at a sub-par resort, hotel, or cruise and are normally given timeshare talks or something equivalent. Sometimes the places you stay will have hugely marked up items that you'll end up having to pay for.
I don't know specifically about this deal though.

Lots of steps when doing this, but to my understanding they only give you your hotel stay and $250 flight credit for each person. I don't think they mention anything about a $250 flight credit. To my understanding, the whole cost of the flight is included:
I estimated the cost, and if you add everything up will add to over $500 per person. If that's true, it's soooooo not worth it! You can get packaged deals for $250 with allegiantair.com or itravel2000.com and that includes TAXES AND FEES!
eQuestDaily voucher: $49
Redeemcertificateoffer.com: $65
Reservation Fee: $300 ($150 x 2)
Flight cost: $505.72 ($1005.72 - $500 / Round Trip to Las Vegas from Vancouver minus $500 flight credit they promise)
Whatever other taxes: ________
I'm going to have a talk with Rob at Next Stage Travel and confirm with him the cost.
1) eQuestDaily sent me a receipt and and was instructed to contact Next Stage Travel
http://i54.tinypic.com/34xnket.jpg
2) Called Next Stage Travel, and they emailed me some PDF Certificate pointing me to redeem it at redeemcertificateoffer.com, there I paid my $65 USD

3) A couple weeks later I got this cheap looking form where I have to fill it out and send it to

Hey, I also receive deals from eDailyQuest.com. I got the email about the travel deal and I looked into it. That company did other daily deal sites:
http://www.buywithme.com/dallas/deals/4452-next-stage-travel
and they did one with Social bUy
http://www.socialbuy.com/los-angeles...vel-08-02-2011
does anyone have any experience with other daily deal sites that offered this type of deal.
It appears like Next Stage is at fault and not so much the daily deal company.
I looked into edailyquest San diego and they did deals with Charities such as Leukemia and Lymphoma society. I didn't see anything bad about them.I don't know much about the travel company offering the deal though.

equestdailly seems pretty legit just got an email from the guy who runs and he totally hooked me up.
I also talked to rob at Next Stage Travel and he did confirm that people will only receive $250/person airfare credit and 2 nights hotel. But he said that most flights to Las Vegas are easily under $250. That maybe true, but he didn't list it on his website http://wwww.nextstagetravel.com/QA.html
The problem is, at the time of purchase, buyers weren't aware that they would only be receiving $250 airfare credit. I was under the impression the whole flight would be covered. It wasn't stated on Next Stage's website and eQuestDaily pointed buyers to Next Stage's website for all the details. Thankfully, two people are able to fly to vegas for around $500.
Even with $250 airfare credit, it's a good deal still, although the hotel they put you up in is a mystery.
I'm just mad because all the details weren't apparent at the time of purchase, and the long ... LONG... process of trying to get your trip booked is redundant at times. You have to contact these people, pay them this, then wait for something in the mail, then send that away and wait another 30 days, then pay another $150... it's not easy. There is something called email or telephone if you want to get my travel dates!!! why should I send you the form in the mail and wait 30 days to give you my travel dates.
Last year I booked a trip with allegiantair.com for $350 including taxes. Stayed on the strip and it was a one step process to confirm my dates and pay. Easy Peasy.
This could also be a big Ponzi Scheme using travel vouchers. They collect people's money hoping people don't cash them in for vouchers in the near future. And they use new money to finance past customers and their voucher redemptions.

I called eDailyQuest and they were quite helpful in guiding me, and offering any further support. They are totally legit and good to deal with, I've purchased two other deals from them.
The travel certificate process is quite cumbersome, I guess that's why it's cheap. My only issue are the steps involved and that the redemption center doesn't answer calls or return them.
eDailyQuest was not aware of the $250 credit towards airfare, they were NOT informed by Next Stage Travel. Next Stage did not disclose this information until you redeem, which is unfair to
all that purchased.
