Has anyone who purchased the Organics Delivered deal from Wagjag in January been able to redeem? Their website does not seem to be working and the voicemail boxes are all full at the phone number (in ottawa).

I would not be surprised if they were unable to meet the demand. They sold hundreds of vouchers for $40 which promised two boxes of produce delivered. Wagjag's commission is 50% so that's $10 per box of produce including delivery. A losing proposition for the business to be sure.

I hope wagjag will issue a refund if this business is closed.

It worked here in Toronto.

First and last time I'm doing that, that's all I will say.

I bought the same deal from Groupon last summer.
No problems redeeming then.

I also had seen their latest deal and called them and asked if I was a previous customer 6+ months ago if I qialified and was told I did.

Did not try to redeem my deal yet,but was just about to.
Hopefully I am not scammed from this deal or else I will have to get a refund somehow.

Their products were fine-except that during the summer they did not use local produce and they claim they did.
I was getting lettuces and carrots and other veggies from California when they are available locally??

Just checked their website: http://www.organicsdelivered.com/

looks like their website has changed.
They used to have a postal code lookup and an offer on their site, with pricing.
Now I do not see any of that.

I just read on a food website I'm a member of that one person there was stood up TWICE by the Ottawa service and that thier voice mail box is full?
But they had no problems getting a refund from Wagjag!

I don't want to deal with a company like this!

The company has closed, but Wagjag offered a refund.

Wagjag emailed me back saying "if you can not deal with the vendor please email us".

That was my response.
So now I send a more specific SECOND email asking for refund.

My original groupon was used up, I had the same "local produce" in summer months (all Cali produce..). They called me in december and offered a crazy deal, so I paid $300 with VISA. They stopped using Plastic tubs 6 weeks ago, so I got a box of food, then they postponed for a month, now they are out of business? I'm contacting VISA for a refund, hopefully I can recoup some of that cost. What a disaster.

EDIT: organics delivered has confirmed I basically lost $489 in undelivered bins. YAY!

Have you heard anything back from Visa yet? or whoever is the credit card you used?

Maybe you could try and join a food co-op or farmers market where you pick up items?
Some farmers here (ottawa, gatineau) where I live they have a food co-op you can join and it is only local foods.

I joined a quebec food co-op just because it was easier for me to get to.
And was surprised that one farmer even has some local strawberries in the winter (or they did until they run out....).
-what the farm did was freeze some berries in zip lock backs and plastic containers and is selling that.

But during the winter I can get potatoes, radish, sprouts, squash (maybe),beets, turnip that are all local from quebec.
or I can order a vegetable basket from one vendor w 7-10 kinds of vegetables for $20 a week, paid by the week.
I am not sure if there is similar things in Toronto?

Me too. Bought the groupon, used it, signed up for a 13 box deal for about $400. Only got a few boxes before they stopped showing up, and now they're bankrupt. So now I'm trying to get a partial refund through my credit card.

Why go through all that hassle? Groupon is the Costco of group deals. Call them, tell them that the company has gone out of business, and they will refund your money. You'll get money back in 10 minutes instead of having to deal with mailing paperwork to/from your CC company.

From what the poster said, it sounds like Groupon/Organics Delivered fulfilled the voucher delivery... The poster signed up directly with Organics Delivered for additional boxes, that is what got screwed over..

Just read an article in the Toronto Star about this.... Too bad... Hope people get some money back from credit card company....

Ahhh my mistake. Good luck with the CC dispute; in my experience, they are excellent if you can substantiate your claim of non-fulfillment. In this case, it shouldn't be too hard to show that the company is busto

If you have any success with your credit card company, please post back - here and/or on the facebook group if you're on fb. I called my credit card company and was told it had to go through bankruptcy proceedings before they would consider my claim.
