Went to Car Rental Momma website and tried to enter the promo code and it doesn't work. Did you do it through phone or in person?

Here is the link for the Budget code from Costco.com. The code posted by OP works and Costco code is less than a $1.00 better. Checkout the other link for coupons or the one on costco's site. You can get $20.00 off weekend rental if book midsize or higher. Use MUWZ163. Note the $20.00 coupon is applied when you return the vehicle.

You should edit your post to make it clear it is for Costco members only, according to the terms posted on the Costco Travel website.

Whether a Budget rep. would ever ask to see your membership card, I can't speak to.

Does the costco one work for Canada? seems like it's for the US.

Yes it works for Canada as well. For what it's worth I do have a Costco membership and have rented several times with Budget and Alamo and not once have I ever been asked to show my membership. Not to say it couldn't happen.

The code in OP worked online for YYZ pick-up tomorrow for 2 days - $36 all in.

I've never rented from Budget before (I have a Hertz President's Circle Gold Card so I rent from Hertz), but the Budget price is close to 50% of my GOOD Hertz quote, so I may give it a shot. As much as I prefer to get into my Hertz rental (automatically upgraded LOL) and drive away, $30 saved is $30 saved :)

Looking for answers though :) -

1. The terms say that "Friday overnight keep is required", however, my rate from Sat to Mon is confirmed. I don't want any hassles, should I be worried that they would try to change the rate?
2. They say that if you fail to cancel a reservation "48 hours in advance", they may charge you $75 - are they serious? This is ridiculous.

Thanks for the input!

At Dixie / 401, there is an Enterprise (at the auto mall). They have $10 compact / economy and $15 "intermediate" per weekend day. For Compact, it comes out to around ~$35 for Friday 5 PM to Monday 5 PM (or Friday 9 AM to Monday 9 AM). Limited to 300 kms total, but the overage per km is only 20¢.

Yes, you can get to YYZ via a single TTC fare, which gives any YYZ deal a bit of an edge, but if you can get to Dixie / 401 the Enterprise staff are really great. If you live or work near Dixie / 401, they'll even pick you up, so you don't have to schlep to the airport at all.
There is no god. But it still feels good to be kind to people, animals, and the environment, so keep doing that.

I can say Ditto to this with the Enterprise at Kipling and Evans Ave. They are great staff, they will pick you up from Kipling Station and it's $10/weekend day (with the same 300km limit).

Does any company offer unlimited mileage with the weekend rate?

My buddy told me he got the $10 a day deal from Enterprise in Oakville last weekend, so it could be company-wide.

How did you guys get this deal? Is there a coupon code? I tried a rental for next week on Enterprise's website and it's showing $19.99/day on weekends (even at Kipling). Thanks.

Just worked for me on a dummy reservation for next weekend from Kipling.

May need to enter the reservation starting from the promo page:
http://www.enterpriserentacar.ca/car_re ... &page=home

It's also nation-wide from Enterprise, but a bunch of locations (pretty much all in DT Toronto, for example) don't "participate" in the promotion.

In most cases, no. Not sure if you rent from the airport though.

Just finished up a three-day weekend rental from Budget YYZ using Costco Travel... Taxes, surcharges, everything was $50.92. And while the original reservation was for a Compact, they gave me a free upgrade to a chevy impala (full size). Staff was courteous, friendly, fast... No complaints! Well, windshield washer fluid was completely out, but that's pretty minor.

Any deals for a rental of about 45 days.
