[Always] Unlimited Hosting plan for 3 year .99 cents @Hostable.com ( new TOS rules 28/03)

More offers from Always
http://www.hostable.com/

plan shows as free but there's a .99 cents setup fee .

Quoted from site ;

Unlimited Website Space & Traffic
Unlimited Email Accounts
Unlimited Web Domain Name Hosting
Unlimited MySQL Databases
Unlimited Websites
No Ads on Your Website
FREE US Based Support
FREE Website Builder
FREE Online Store

1 Why is it free?
We want to get the word out about Hostable.
2 Why is there a setup fee?
There is a setup fee to make sure you are a real person and verify your identity. The way we do that is by charging a 99¢ fee. You can pay with a credit card or PayPal.
3 Is this a normal, full featured web hosting account?
YES

**********accounts now will be renewed only for 3 months not 3 years after end of term ( $6.99 / month after free 3 years )*********

email received from jared@hostable.com ;

Please understand - you are still getting 3 YEARS of free hosting! The only change we made was that you will now renew for 3 months instead of 3 years!

ONLY the renewal changed. We did not change the initial 3 year free time period.

Many of you did not like that the account would renew for another 3 years after your first 3 years for free. So we changed that to 3 months. Now the renewal is $20.97 USD instead of $250 USD.

I apologize for any confusion this caused.

Thank you
,

Works for Canada , I used PAYPAL (seem to work with prepaid credit cards) to avoid a direct recurring credit card bill which seems to be high in case i forget to cancel in 3 years .Or you can always cancel before end of 3 years .Figured for .99 cents i'll test them out .

Interesting. I pay around 8.50 a month for the same unlimited bandwidth, space, etc.

be aware that right now their servers must be freaking so it might get slow .The full test will be in a few days to see if they can handle demand .But for 99 cents its a cheap test .
Surprisingly after finishing hosting a friend's website and testing the download of a 5 MB file .......speed is good .

Thanks OP

Just registered, waiting for them to add my DNS server IP to their remotedns file , so I can point my my site to their server.

just to confirm, it's unlimited domains , and I can move multiple websites to their server (in separate directories) with a single account, right?

Thanks OP.

Ordered one myself, used PayPal as well.

Willing to overlook the Verizon Math included in the title ($0.99 is 99 cents, not .99 cents).
