[Memory Express] Memory Express Asus VE278Q 27" LED Monitor 299.99

http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/P ... 4(ME).aspx

Not that I needed one as I have a 24" Dell, but for $299.99 i pulled the trigger on this one.

It is a TFT panel, but the picture looks great.... some prefer the 16:10 but for gaming this 16:9 is good.

TFT-LCD Panel
Panel Size 27“ Wide Screen
True Resolution 1920 x 1080
Pixel Pitch 0.311mm
Brightness 300 cd/m²
Contrast Ratio 10,000,000 :1 (ASCR)
Display Colors 16.7M
Viewing Angle 170° / 160° (CR≧10)
Responce Time 2 ms (Gray-to-Gray)

1) If anything, it's Memory Express matching NCIX's price since NCIX's sales go up before Memory Express.

2) Not exactly a good deal at Memory Express if the item is out of stock and you can't order it. :-0

Are you saying that Memory Express is a better deal or that NCIX is?

Can anyone say is this a hot price for 27" monitor?

If you read some of the reviews on Newegg, this monitor doesn't sound very appealing.

IMO, 1920x1080 on a 27" is good for a TV and/or watching movies but is a terrible resolution for any type of productivity.

Seems that some people have had ghosting and flicker problem. Those people RMA'd the monitor and were happy with the replacement. Many people seem to be happy with the monitor right off the bat.

I PMed this at ME about a month ago. No complaints at all. Puts 22" Samsung to shame. Don't do any video/image editing though. Only general use and gaming. No problems at all and has worked like a charm right out of the box.

Agreed, however we are talking a 299.00 monitor vs 999.00 for a monitor with better resolution. Works fine for what i will be using it for.
