We love our bugaboo chameleon....but it's not a double.

We have a second due in September and I just noticed that Bugaboo is launching the donkey in the summer:

Anyone else interested in this? I wonder what I can keep from the chameleon (frames, etc).

Then again, my daughter will be 25 months, and may not be interested in sitting in a stroller.

Considering this stroller. It is pricey though. The ability to make this a double stroller for different age kids makes this stroller really appealing to us.

The stroller is available in the USA in April but not available in Canada until September.
Hoping we can import it once it is available in the USA.

that's funny, we're in a similar situations. We also have a chameleon (which we don't use anymore) and we're expecting our second on Aug 5th. Our daughter will be 27 months by then.

This would be a cool stroller to get, but the only thing i see fitting would be the cup holders.
I can't see the infant car seat adaptors fitting on these, unless they force you to buy new adaptors.

Just get the wheeled board for the chameleon. Most of the time, the strollers really used for a make-shift shopping cart anyways. :(

I can't imagine a 25 months wanting to sit in it that often other than to spite the newborn.

It's no always about the kid *wanting* to sit in the stroller, it's about you needing the kid to be safely strapped in, especially on walks near roads and in crowded areas. My kids don't always get the option of walking on their own!

Maybe consider a sit and stand? My kids are 2.5 years apart. We opted for a sit and stand rather than a twin stroller and it was the best decision we made.

i don't think getting a full-size side by side stroller for a newborn and a toddler makes sense since the toddler will prob be a sometimes stroller sitter. We are expecting another one in July, and my son will be almost 3 by then. We picked up a Peg Perego Skate w/toddler jumper seat (great deal on albeebaby.com - we picked it on the other side of the border) for $650 all in....way less than the $1500 plus price tag on the Bugaboo Donkey. Also cheaper is the Phil and Ted's, Britax B-Ready, or Baby Jogger City Select - all which are in-line doubles with the option of being a single if necessary and all retail for $700 or less.

PS: we had a bugaboo cameleon with baby #1 too and loved it...but after maternity leave, we didn't use it much so sold it on craigslist for almost as much as we paid for it!...traded it in for a maclaren which is convenient to just leave in the car for when we need it.

we had one too and it was great. we sold it though and got the phil and teds because we usually go on long walks on the weekends and kids fall asleep after a couple hours of walking

We have just decided to get the Joovy Caboose Sit n' Stand as well. Our oldest will be 2.5 when the new little one arrives. He doesn't like the stroller much anyway, but with the sit n' stand he will have the option to stand and ride and I will be able to strap him on to the back seat when I need to. I feel like it will be a great decision for us. Also, not nearly as pricey as the good doubles out there.

You can get a Baby Jogger City Select (2010) for dirt cheap from pishposhbaby.com or albeebaby.com if you can get them shipped to somewhere in the states (pishposh will ship to Canada, but I think it costs more and you have to call them). A 2010 BJCS with second seat goes for around $499. There is very little difference between the 2010 and 2011 models. Nice thing is that you can use it as a single until you want the second seat similar to the donkey, and it is inline instead of tandem so it is narrower (although longer).
