I think I'm in the same boat as a few people on RFD - I have two living deal vouchers for horseshoe valley that are valid until April 30th but I won't be able to use them this year - I contacted living deal and they won't refund them - Any other ideas aside from trying to sell them?
Any chance horseshow will accept them next year?

You may try contacting Horseshoe Valley and explain the situation, but this is part of the risk to be considered when purchasing vouchers for future purchases, especially when it's offered at a cheaper than usual price.

If the vouchers are valid and not tied to your name, you can sell it on Craigslist or Kijiji.

i think it's illegal for gift certificates with a $$ value to expire based on the new ontario law a few years ago. but since you paid 1/2 price, the amount that you paid would never expire. But i'm not sure exactly how you can enforce this and who you need to talk to (livingdeal or the resort)

These are not technically gift cards, and therefore I very much doubt they fall under the same laws as those do in regards to expiry.

You are thinking of gift cards. Gift certificates are a completely different.

like someone else said, you can easily sell them. If you want to sell them quickly just discount them another 10%. But do it fast, only a month left

You could only "easily sell them" to someone who didn't look into it, if these are the ski lift tickets. Horseshoe is closed for the season!

Dude sorry to say but unless you can use them or sell them you are SOL.
The terms were clearly posted on the deal site.
This is one of the benefits for the retailer, selling a voucher and it never being used pure profit.

maybe you can email Baskin robbins and they might send you a coupon....
Usually if you email a company about a sucky product they are helpful!

+1
you cannot expect them to give you refund if you are the one cannot make it
