Recently I bought a 10 pass "drop in class" deal at Living Social and it was $50 for ten classes at CasaFlo dance studio in Westgate mall.
They were sharing a space with Capital City Dance and had a separate desk from Capital City.

I was there last night and was going to redeem my pass next week (I take classes at Capital City Dance) and as soon as I walked in I noticed that "something looked different" with the school.
I go to the desk of the other school and asked what happened to the latin dance school? as their desk, phone, staf was gone and all there was is a poster on the wall saying.

CasaFlo has moved and to find out about scheduling call :

Emmanuel at: (613)709-5060

I tried that number earlier today and voicemail box is full.
no other info was given.

Decided to ask for a refund of the Living Social 10 class pass and if I can not get a hold of CasaFlo to redeem the 3 private dance lessons by Thursday....I will ask for a refund from Wagjag,as they had a different deal there too.

The website for CasaFlo is not updated at all and says they are still at Westgate mall.
From looking up Casaflo online all I could find out was they might be giving classes in the gym of a Montessori school in Nepean off Viewmount somewhere.

-not sure how many people here bought passes to this school, but hope this is helpful to someone!

Ok,
so I actually reached CacsFlo yesterday.
Only to find out they are not offering drop in lessons until they move at their new location that is being built and will be completed next year.

Now I also mentioned on the phone that I had a coupon for 3 private lessons (I did not mention I had a deal for 10 drop in classes as I just refunded that).
When I reached the owner of the school he told me he "did not have his schedule handy and to call later or email for scheduling lessons".

Just that is too much trouble and I think I will just refund the 3 classes I have from another deal wagjag.

Apparently the new Casaflo "school" is going to be built like a club and lounge with lessons too and near Hunt Club and Merivale rd I think.

Right now if you can actually get a hold of the school they are in the Montessori school, using their gym after 5pm for some classes.

I bought a package with them a while ago, I think it was from Living Social or Groupon. I got an email stating they moved locations and the new location, and that if I hadn't redeemed the voucher I could ask them for a refund due to the inconvenience of the moved location. They did also state they were only doing the private lessons but I believe you'd get the group lessons as private instead.

I am considering asking for a refund. We used 2 or 3 of the classes before they moved though, so I am not sure if they'dd let me get the refund or not.

I never got that email.
I was also just about to use my classes too.

But after having a hard time getting a hold of the instructor and that he told me to email for availability??
really?
I'm not going to bother.

I was kind of hoping to try latin dancing, but guess I'll try and find another place sometime.

For now I like going to Capital City Dance (where Casaflo used to be), but it is more Hip Hip,Contemporary,Ballet,Jazz.
Dance With Alana is also pretty good.

The main instructor is really nice, but personally I found it wasn't really my thing. I think I would prefer something more like hip-hop dance, so I might check out the capital city dance. I also want it to be kind of a work out at the same time, which I found the latin dance just wasn't.

The group sessions there were maybe 10 of us for them, the times I went anyway. There is more than 1 instructor, I'm not sure who taught when or what specifically.

The hip-hop class at Capital City Dance is really good exercise.
You sweat a lot and it is better to bring 2 water bottles as you are moving the whole class.

It has been the same instructor on Tursdays the past 6 months at least.
In the beginning of the class there is a warm up with some music and you do some steps from side to side, jumping, jumping jacks and some of the moves that you do in the routines also.
Just the first 5 minutes is good exercise.
The rest of the class the instructor breaks down the routine and shows us a small part of it and you keep on adding to that until you have almost a whole dance routine.

I am just saying almost as it is usually a different song every week and it also depends on how well people can learn stuff too.
This Thursday there was just 3 people, but other times I have seen up to 15 people, so it depends.

The other good thing is that you do not have to buy a pass, you can pay to go just once if you want, or else buy a 5 class pass I think, or else 10 or 20 classes and that is a bit cheaper.

Yea, the latin dance you do not break a sweat, you do not even warm up. Most of the girls who were there were wearing heels, and you can wear jeans. It definitely is not even close to vigorous.

I've never tried latin dancing- so good to know.

I am also taking the contemporary class at Capital City Dance- that is good exercise too.

But Saturday I am taking 2 classes at Dance with Alana and the Burlesque one is ok, but expected it to be more exercise and it is not at all- kind of just doing this routine in heels- it is ok, but probably won't sign up for another term of that.

Also taking beginner ballet at Dance with Alana and that one is not that much exercise, I am not tired at all after those 2 classes, while at Capital city dance after 1 class my legs are very sore...after 2 classes in a row my legs will be killing me for days.
But at least that is good exercise!

found this thread as I was googling for CasoFlo dance studio. I bought a package of dropin lessons from Dealfind which I have not used yet. I'm going to contact them for a refund.
