I'll try not to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it, but for those who have, did you find some of the Asian jokes a bit off putting, and perhaps crossing the line?

Haven't seen it yet but all I've heard about this movie is that it's disappointing.

as an asian, i was not insulted at all.. not so sure about the anti-asian sentiment, it's actually pro-asian in comparison to so many other hollywood movies.

There is a stereo type that all Asians are lady boys? That's new to me, but will remember it for sure.

Haha, the guy who plays Chow did have a super small ***** . My buddy actually argued with me that he never showed his ***** and I laughed was like "no, he did, when he stood up, remember Alan was looking at a mushroom" . . . . then he was like oh yea, then laughed. Part of it was all the pubes, guy had a massive bush. But yea, he inadvertantly reinforced that stereotype, lol.
As someone who's been to Thailand, the movie was pretty spot on with its depictions.

My friend has a theory that only non-asians find Ken Jeong (Mr.Chow, also Senor Chang on the TV show "Community") funny.
Or it could be that he's just not funny to anyone in general... which begs the question, why is he becoming more and more popular?

Im Asian and I didn't find any of the jokes offensive, no where in the movie did it say or portray that all Asians have small dicks (just chow) and all Asians are ladyboys (just thai ppl lol!)

I thought he was alright in his stand-up days, when he joked about the pressures of becoming a doctor, and the lighter moments in the ER. It's too bad he found his fame in the niche of a psychotic ethnic guy.
