I always have a hard time remembering character names in movies unless it's super obvious (i.e. Dora the Explorer, etc.). Usually I will just refer to them based on what they look like (i.e Fat dude, guy with glasses) unless they are a famous actor then I will just say their real name.

Not sure if I am like the majority of people or if I need to pay more attention.

How about you?

Forget the movies, I have problems remembering people names right after I just gave them a handshake.

It depends, of course. Han Solo, Indiana Jones, Michael Corleone, etc weren't that difficult to remember. On the other hand, I can't recall the name of the speech therapist in The King's Speech.

I guess you're right. Easy if it's an iconic character.

Totally depends on the character & movie, and actor/actress.

I have trouble remembering anything about the movie after 2 - 3 months.

Sometimes I watch a movie and in the middle of it, I go 'hey, I'd seen this movie before'.
