Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of MTV's "Jackass," has died in a car crash. He was 34.
NBC Philadelphia reports that Dunn and another passenger died in a 3 a.m crash at Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania.
The news of the death was confirmed by April Margera, mother of "Jackass" star Bam, in an interview with a local radio show. TMZ also confirmed with Margera.
Dunn posted to Twitter a photo of himself drinking with friends just hours before the crash.
Dunn was perhaps best known for his parts in crashing golf carts and placing a toy car, in a condom, up his rectum in the original "Jackass" film.

Wow, this is sad for sure. I was actually watching Jackass 3.5 last night as it happened then. Crazy!

Watching Jackass at 3AM? Crazy for sure.
Sad for his family I suppose. Even sadder for his passenger's family.
Serves as yet another example of why people shouldn't drink and drive.

Yeah. Couldn't sleep. I can't believe he's gone. He's one of ones who contributes the most and isn't afraid to try anything once. He always gave a great laugh.
I heard the passenger died in the accident as well. I wonder who it was. Since April Margera confirmed it, I thought it might have been Bam. That would of been tragic for sure.
My friend posted this on facebook. Thought it was funny but not too rude and early.

I always thought he was an idiot and this proves me right. So sad for his passenger, thank god he did not crash into anyone else and kill even more people. Sorry, I have little feelings of sadness for those who drink and drive and speed and kill themselves doing so.

If nothing was taken out of context, this basically sums it up.

Sad story, but given the circumstances, not surprising.

I have no sympathy for jackasses (pun intended) who drink and drive. The guy was entertaining and all that, but when you are stupid enough to get behind the wheel after drinking too much, I say good riddance to you.

surely you must be joking. If not for Ryan Dunn, how would the world ever know what happens when you stick a toy car up your butt?

Most people don't do anything to influence the world in any way. But yeah he got what was coming to him, after a night of drinking and driving. Best case scenario, he makes it home in one piece without harming anyone. Worst case... well, we just saw it.

Another jackass dead due to his own stupidity. Let's move on...Nothing to see here. Morons like these who endanger everyone else on the road deserve no sympathy.

Roger Ebert's Tweet on Dunn's death entertains me far more than death occurring due to stupidity

I'm sure if he survived, they probably would've used it in Jackass 4.
Thank God, no one else was killed.

basicly he did stupid things and got rich and famous from it. Then everyone is so surprised when he makes a dumb decision which ends with losing his life.
His fans and audience are partially reasonable for his death and positively reinforcing his actions.

This happens when you keep feeding the trolls. Eventually it all comes to an abrupt end! Now the world gets more sane.

there is some misinformation here.....
he died around 12:30am.... going 130 mph.
kinda sad, but what do you expect. booze and a fast car and a guy that liked to do stupid things...... it was going to catch up to him eventually.

actually there was a passenger in the car who also died...not sure whose dumber, dunn for drunk driving and flooring his porsche through a forest, or the friend who thought it was a good idea to get a ride from someone who was plastered.
does anyone else think its fitting that Ryan Dunn died the way he lived, with car parts in his Anus?

1) someone else already made that joke above
2) it's still in poor taste the second time around

I didn't feel bad for him when I first found out and I still don't feel bad now.
I do feel bad, however, for the passenger and their families. But I don't feel bad when murderers get killed.

It's still poor taste ... but it's an easy joke to make since Dunn played that card a long time ago.

This is pretty old news; didn't it happen some months back? I never watched Jackass and never knew who he was but I debated this with someone at work and compared him to James Dean. Although Dean's harrowing act could be said to have been safer and put no one but him and willing participants life in danger.
The truth is, this Dunn guy couldn't have done any worst even if he had a second chance to try. I'll spare the mini-van full of family analogy but yes, thankfully he won't be around to attempt this again or inspire a generation to follow his idiotic pursuits.
