I've recently started to LOVE watching documentaries. A friend showed me Planet Earth and then I found Life. I've watched some other smaller series or one-off documentaries but I'd love to find more.
Can anyone recommend any other wildlife or nature documentaries (or similar?). IDEALLY I'd prefer HD. I've seen some older ones... and Planet Earth just spoiled me :)

Pretty much anything by BBC Nature. Costco/Best Buy/Future Shop sell box sets and standalone titles.

Aside from Planet Earth, you need to see Baraka and Wild Pacific (BBC).
Just stunning on HD, absolutely brilliant. I think every HD lover needs to own these blu rays. I actually think Wild Pacific looks way better than Planet Earth, mainly because of the colours of the Pacific and the islands. There isn't as much content as PE, but it's short and sweet. Baraka came out in 1992, but it's riveting, and i can't wait for Fricke to come out with a sequel.

Yeah it's called Wild Pacific here but South Pacific in the UK, so as to not be confused by the old musical. It's fascinating.

I'm watching Life too and think it's great. I'm not sure if it's out already or not but a friend told me about Space by BBC sounds like it is/would be awesome.

I've seen quite a lot of nature documentaries and Eye of the Leopard remains the best.

BBC's Galapagos...although the 3 episodes are a little redundant
I've watched all the BBC Natural History docs on blu-ray except for Wild Pacific and Life in Cold Blood..Planet Earth is still the best IMO
