View Full Version : Cutting the Cable

So I'm moving to a condo in the downtown core of Ottawa in August. I would like to cut cable/satellite if possible, but I'm not sure the best alternative for what I watch.

TV shows I can get by with Netflix, etc. but the biggest thing for me is sports.

I watch NHL, NFL, CFL, MLS, EPL and La Liga fairly regularily. Is there a reasonable, cost effective way of watching these? Free streams are generally poor quality and lag a lot. Paying for NFL NHL etc internet solutions costs more than cable would. So I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Any help would be great.

Your condo might have a "Movie" room with a big screen tv. Reserve it.

It doesn't. There is a party room, no "Movie" room though. Although that would be a nice easy solution.
