Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you guys have taken your kids to a place calle Kidtopia in Oakville. It's an indoor playground for kids age 2 to 10. We've been going there for the last year or so with our kids but I've tried to call them the past few days and their phone and fax lines have been disconnected.

There's no news about them shutting down, and if they did, it'd be quite surprising since they're always very very busy and have been in business since Dec 2007.

Their address is as follows:

2041 Winston Park Drive, Oakville Ontario, L6H 6P5
Located in the Oakville Entertainment Centrum
(located next to the AMC Theatres and LA Fitness)

The owner Susan Shultz is a bit of a stiff, and her customer service skills are lacking, but she created a very nice place for kids to play.

Anybody with any news, are located near, if you could let me know if they are indeed closed, Im all the way in Brampton, so its not a close trek for me.

Thanks in advance.

Interesting. Maybe from failure to pay rent. Not cheap to rent space like that.

You could try calling the real estate agent dealing with that plaza/area and ask them if the Kidtopia unit is available :)

Otherwise, I think my sister bought some wagjag vouchers or something for that place, I can ask her if she has heard anything.

Did you end up finding out/confirming if they closed down?

Looks like they deleted their twitter account too. My sister said she would be in the area on the weekend and would check out if it is still open but I am assuming it is closed down at this point.

I went there on friday (the 15th) to find that they are in fact shut down.
There was a notice on the door from the landlord which indicated that they were behind in rent.
It was dated from the beginning of July and gave a week to resolve the issue.
The place was more or less empty - just the large play structures remained - so it doesn't look like they will be opening up again.
It was the best indoor that I had come across and I am disappointed to see them closed (especially since I still have 11 admission vouchers left from wagjag! and my boys had saved a lot of the prize tickets to earn a large one - ha!)
My kids loved it there and it was an easy/safe atmosphere to watch them in. too bad.

you can probably get your money back for those vouchers. wagjag / groupon is pretty good about that.
(money you paid, not their value...obviously).
