I got the Paintball Nation coupon awhile ago (sep 2010), and didn't have a chance to use it until this past wkend.

I went as a group of 10 people together (using 5 coupons) which costed $20/ coupon originally ($79 value).
http://www.dealfind.com/york-region/paintballnationyorkregion

When we called in to make a reservation (because it says reservation is required on the coupon), we were told that we had to pay the extra $8.75 for extra 50 balls because we were group of 10. We had no intentions of buying extra balls from the beginning, but since we wanted to play as a group, we had to agree. We were also required to pay taxes on the $20 coupon, which was not specified on the dealfind website.

With the $8.95 + tax extra balls per person, and the tax on the $20, we almost doubled the cost of $10 per person. The savings weren't so apparent.

Because there was a group of kids there having bday party, we were playing in a warehouse field with almost 30 people per game. There wasn't much space to run around/hide. The protective gear seems lacking (ie. One of the game--Zombie-- objective was to high the target's neck/head, but people did not have helmets, we were just supplied with a google/face guard.)

Just want to see if other people played there and can share if they had to pay the extra fees.

Thanks.

Dealfind is sketchy, they do this kind of thing & don't mention it or flat out lie on their deal pages. Asking in the comments section doesn't help since they either don't answer or lie again.

I'd ask for a partial refund, or credit. Dealfind likes to try & word things to let the companies get away with this crap.

ya i emailed them today. i explained to them that the tax was not mentioned on the coupon or their FAQ section, and that the reservation actually included additional fee which was also not mentioned. they gave me a standard reply just saying why things were charged and trying to validate the reasons why Paintball Nation was charging us. they did not honour their promise of returning our money.

that's why i want to see if there are ppl out there that has played at Paintball Nation before and can let me know if they were forced to pay.

I purchased this deal as well but I think you missunderstood why you had to pay the $8.75. When I called to book a party they reminded me that the coupons were sold for 2 people to come in and play not 10+. We were allowed to buy 2 for ourselves and some as gifts for others. This company was pretty fair with me by allowing me to bine my personal coupons with gift coupons to make a reservation. The fee I paid, was for extra paintballs. This assured the company my group was coming when we said we would and they wouldn't turn other people away for a group that never shows up to play.

I found it to be a good deal, the staff were friendly and it was a great deal for us. I'd buy again.
