Studio City Fine Cars Deal Not Working Out

Hi all,

Just venting my displeasure with the Calgary Deal of the Day for auto detailing by Studio City Fine Cars.

I bought 3 vouchers from the RFD Deal of the Day to get my car detailed valid over the next year.
I went to schedule my first appointment near the end of June and was told they were booked up until August. I thought, "Wow! The RFD Effect is already having its affect on this business."

Well I booked in anyway and have been waiting patiently for my appointment.

I was called by Studio City today and they informed me that due to a staffing shortage, my appointment is now cancelled and they will be closed until September. I am to call back in September and book my appointment again.
What a great deal. So I've waited a month already for my appointment only to be delayed at least 2 more months.

I guess this way they won't have to honor all those coupons that they sold. I bet they do not reopen in September and take all our money from the Deal of the Day and run.

Very disappointed.

I too, bought into this "Deal of the Day".

The phone number printed on my voucher "is not in service" anymore. Further checking reveals that the number changed. The last four digits are now 3696 NOT 3096 as printed on the voucher. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Now, as previously stated, staffing problems close the place until September. Nice. What's the point of getting your vehicle detailed just in time for winter? That's like washing your car just before you drive through a mud hole.

We need to do a class action suit here people. Hopefully more people scammed in this deal will post here and we can all get together and get at least some of out money back.

Kudos to RFD here.
They totally stepped up and offered me a full refund.
It's too bad that some businesses take advantage of people like Studio City Fine Cars.
