I'm going to Spain in about 2 weeks. I'm an avid user of RFD for local deals but what about Spain? What items are cheaper in Spain? I've heard from friends that electronics are more expensive. What about clothes? Shoes? Any other ideas?
Cheers!

What items are cheaper in Spain?
The lunch special.
3 courses:
An appetizer/opening course, which often is quite large (usually a choice of 2)
A main course of good size (usually a choice of 2)
A small desert, often yogurt or fresh fruit or pudding (which they often mistakenly call creme brulee)

Your choice of Water, Beer or Wine (and maybe Coke). And if there are two of you and you both order the same type of wine (choices are red or white :)), they usually give you the bottle.
Around 7-8 euros taxes included. Maybe a bit more in larger cities and a bit less in smaller cities. And a lot more if you eat near a tourist area or site. Tip 0.50 euros per person, and everyone is happy.
Just remember that most places don't start serving lunch until 1pm or 1:30pm and they start to get crowded around 2pm. And lunch tends to be so much cheaper than dinner, so it's usually better to have a large lunch and snack the rest of the day, or snack a bit and have a smaller supper.
Besides that, I never noticed much that was cheaper. Most prices of goods seem to be similar to what they are in the rest of Europe. Which usually means higher than here.

I bought a genuine Ferrari hat, complete with holographic tags, etc for €10 at one of the many shops along Las Ramblas. The same hat was €36 at the Ferrari Galleria in Modena, Italy. Of course, this is like comparing the price of a 7-11 hotdog to a hotdog at Disneyland... :|
