The NYcruise website states that all cars enter the Manhattan Cruise Terminal at 55th Street and 12th Avenue.

If I plan on staying close enough to the Terminal and walk there on the day of my cruise, do you know if there are any other entrances for pedestrians? Somewhere closer to 50th Street and 12th Avenue?

Thanks for any info.

You can certainly walk there, just hope you don't have a lot of luggage.

There are several piers, and you may not know which one your ship is parked at until you get there that day. If driving, you can park right on the top floor of the pier for that ship, and take the elevator down. Right at the parking lot, there are porters that will take your luggage, tag them, and take to the ship. It's not cheap at $30/d, but there is no cheap parking in Mahattan.

Also the pier the ship docks when you embark and disembark can be different as well. Dragging my luggage from one pier to another to get to my car this past June was definitely a pain.

Let alone, dragging up a small hill if you parked at another parkades may not necessary be the thing you want to do at the end of a cruise. And like the other poster said, there is no cheap parking in Manhatten. In my case, I did some search prior, I may save $20 for the duration of my cruise if I park somewhere that is approximately 10 mins walk from the terminal. I was tempted, but at the end, I still parked at the terminal, and I would do that again next time I cruise out of Manhatten.
