Henry's is selling $239.
It seems to be the cheapest ever in Canada.

As we like to say around here, too bad the time machine isn't working at the moment...

I think that was 75-300 non-IS Lens.
It is already cheap and the IQ is not bad at all.

Too bad Amazon.com, no longer ships camera lenses to Canadian addresses.
They currently have it for $177.78 + free filter.

This is a very good lens, excellent IQ and very sharp focusing. I took mine out for the first time on a windy winter day hike and got some amazing close-up shots of birds 30 feet away, and my kids (who dart around almost as much). I was very impressed - no wonder they call this the "nifty-two-fifty" that goes nicely with the 50mm 1.8 "nifty fifty" that is so popular. Cheaply made, but they take great shots.

Ship it to a UPS store, etc. and go get it if you're near the border. Fill up your tank with cheaper American gas to offset the cost of the trip...

Since when? I remember a lot of RFD members ordered one without problems when it was $184
I tried to order it when it hit $177.78 a week or so ago and it would not process the order. This is now on the product information section;
Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses. For APO/FPO shipments, please check with the manufacturer regarding warranty and support issues.
I have a lot of contacts from the SBH forum that can help me out with this lens, so that's not an issue but I would have preferred to order direct through Amazon.com.

Did you make sure it was from Amazon.com directly and not one of their sellers? Most third party sellers do not ship to Canada. Maybe try again and see.

I can confirm that amazon no longer ships canon lenses and camera's to canada. I ordered t2i with kit lens and 55-250mm + 75-300mm on Aug 9th. Got the lenses quickly but they didn't ship the camera, i had to pick it up in Buffalo. Apparently around that time they changed their policy and my camera got stuck. Now you can't even order it with a canadian address.
Too bad because i got an awesome deal from amazon.
If anyone needs it I am selling the 75-300mm for a reasonable price.

Your all wasting your time and money buying this lens, your gunna buy this, drop $260ish on it. Use it, then in a month or two, start looking for better, then try to unload this, in a see of the same lens. Just buy the one you want, the 70-200 f4 and save yourself the greif and torment. Or rent it at henrys, i know the 70-200F4 IS rents for only $25 dollars, get it on friday and keep it till Monday. you'll see the difference.

Even though the Canadian dollar took a beating recently, it's still cheaper to get this from the US. Same warranty applies and it ships to Canada.
Calculations by photoprice. (http://www.photoprice.ca/product/01168/Canon-EF-S-55-250mm-f4-5.6-IS-price.html)
$271 all-in from Camera Canada.
$240 all-in from B&H.
