Hey guys,

Its hard for me to deal with all the pm from you all asking around the same questions about these monitors so I started this post to try to clear up things as you all place your order and also better know where you stand in term of who is getting monitors first.

Please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply back and update this post with all useful infomation.

These monitors are order over a 3rd party company using corporate account with Dell.
(That is also why there is can't be reciepts given and cant be ship directly to your house, but warranty is fully transferable.)

*There will not be reciept given* - Warranty does not need reciept. Check with Dell if you think otherwise.

(Tax and Environmental fee are already included in the prices)
1 Unit $300 each
2 Units $290 each
3 Units $280 each

Tranaction:
This is trade, so basically once the monitors arrive, i will meet up with buyer. Then the buyer pay the amount for the monitors, where then buyer get to inspect the monitor for dead pixels. After, warranty will be transfer to the buyer within 30 days. Any problem other then dead pixel will have to deal with Dell directly after warranty has been transfered.

If you order one its $300, if you order 2 its $290 so on...it dosnt matter how many others buy.

If you and the others would like to combine orders, then sure. I will treat it as 1 order, but I wont be dealing with 3 ppl, I will only be dealing with 1 person, and that person has to take charge of giving the monitors to the others also i will only transfer all monitors warranty to one name, so whoever is in charge will deal with warranty transfer after.

Had a long chat over the phone with the source, he has comfirm the monitors has arrived to his company. But he does not have time this weekend to deliver them to me. He will be delivering them to me on Monday.

I know everyone is waiting for them, but I hope everyone could be patient, this is a very normal situation where the delivery date has been delayed.

read some of the reviews, it's one of the best IPS screens for gaming. you don't see many IPS panels with below 6-8ms response time.

It seems like there is some delay. I am not sure whats keeping my source from delivering the monitors.

I tried calling and texting, but no reply, so there must of been an emergency of some short.

I have delt with my source for a long time, so I know the monitors will arrive, but just going to take some time.

I ask everyone to be patient, I will keep trying to find out more info about when it will arrive and post update on this thread.

Yes it is, we just happen to be receiving our first patch of monitors and is in the process of distributing them.

Please note that it does take some time for the monitors to get in.

Personally if i were to do eyefinity, I would perfer portrait. Unless I am doing eyefinity with 27" monitors :D

My setup is the reverse. My trusty Samsung 173T (IPS panel) is portaitl. My Samsung T240HD (TN panel) is landscape. Although the TN monitor is said to be one of the best TN panels at that time the colour shift and side by side placement with the IPS makes me want to switch out the TN monitor.

Update:

I will be receiving some monitors tomorrow, but I am unsure as to how many i will be receiving. Source told me that, Dell messed up the order and thats why its been so long..., I mean...thats no excuese if you ask me...but there isnt much I could do.

Anyhow, I do thank everyone for your being patience and I do apologize for all these delays...if anyone else would like to cancel their order, I certainly would understand.

But I will continue to work and make sure anyone who is still waiting, gets their monitor.

I just got my 2 monitors last night so I expect Chere will be contacting the next people on the list. I did see quite a few more as well.

The monitors are hooked up and all I can say is it was worth the wait. :) Going from my 2005fpw, it is great - quality is on par + bigger size + lighter + less power usage.

Your video card has to support display port to use the display port connector on the monitor. There are no adapters for hdmi/dvi/vga to displayport and there will never be. You could use a hdmi to dvi cable for this monitor, or just dvi.

Or better yet get a video card that supports display port. Picture would be the same with dvi or hdmi as it would be for display port. So there should be no disadvantages to using hdmi or dvi unless you want eyefinity.

You should be careful about the group buy.

I did a similar group buy involving Dell U2311H screens and RFD didn't like it one bit. They basically shut down every single post/thread I made. I ended up having to conduct/finish the group buy in non-RFD forums.

I'm surprised there's even any large scale group buys left in RFD because the rules they enforce simply make it impossible.

Sorry about the lack of updates, but there isnt much to update since the source has been very slow on replying back to me and also there is just alot happening since Chrismas is coming.

$279 before any environmental fees or taxes. Here in Ontario, that pushes the price up to $327.70 after an $11 environmental fees plus 13% HST, which is still a bit more than Chere's offering, especially with multiple monitors. Plus, that's his standard price, no need for sales.

Yup, this week everyone should be getting their monitors. Source told me a skit finnally arrived, so its only a matter of setting a time to pick it up from him then i will be contacting everyone to distribute it.

Just received mine today...no more colour shift from my Samsung T240HD TN based monitor / TV which was the main reason I went for this monitor. As Chere says, he has "extras" so get it while you're able to with this no wait deal.

i gave him the benefit of the doubt for half a year :p now he's not responding to my pms.

i only purchased one at $300, which is about $30 less than the regular sale price with taxes. had i known the warranty wouldn't be transferred, i would have rather paid the $30 extra for peace of mind...

i'm still hoping he will transfer the warranty, but considering its been half a year already of him saying he will do it, i'm starting to get the feeling he won't be doing it.

maybe it would be best if chere could chime in and let all of us know if he transferred any warranties...

Tranaction:
This is trade, so basically once the monitors arrive, i will meet up with buyer. Then the buyer pay the amount for the monitors, where then buyer get to inspect the monitor for dead pixels. After, warranty will be transfer to the buyer within 30 days. Any problem other then dead pixel will have to deal with Dell directly after warranty has been transfered.

*There will not be reciept given* - Warranty does not need reciept. Check with Dell if you think otherwise.

Hello everyone,

First I would like to apologize for such late reply regarding about the warranty transfer, due to issues with dell and my personal work.

Here is what is going on with the warranty transfer.

When I was doing the warranty transfer for the monitors Dell informed me that, the monitor model U2412M does not require warranty transfer (Reason why these monitors does not have a express service tag) and could not transfer the warranty due to that matter. Please do not misunderstand, this doesn’t mean that it has no warranty. What this does mean is that, warranty transfer is not required.

I do apologize for this because I have not encounter monitors that does not have service tag before, I thought they work the same way as the ones I sold before that has service tags.

In order to have your monitor for warranty service, Dell only requires you to provide Purchaser Name and Purchase Order Number.

I will be personally sending out the Purchaser Name and Purchase Order Number to everyone who has bought these monitor in the next 2 days.

If anyone has questions about this, feel free to contact me, I will try to get back to you as fast as I could.
