Do any of these exist? Or are prices jacked up for worldwide traveling? I prefer a warm spot but it could be cold too (if there's snowboarding involved :)).

probably anywhere north of the provinces

Late December anywhere is considered high season because of holidays and schools are out

We always find the lowest prices are right after the kids go back to school. So the last few years we have gone on vacation right after the schools holidays. The kids love the extra two weeks off :)

$580 for Vancouver for 5-10 days looks decent if anyone's into Whistler...

LOL.

I think Tuktoyaktuk is a better choice. There'll be few people going there during the holidays, so no jacked up prices.
