I'm not sure if there are actual limitations on course loads while on probation but I think it would be a safe bet for you to take an easier course load for a year if you are on probation. If you go heavy on the courses and screw up somewhere you're basically asking to be suspended for a year and then you'll have to wait longer to get your credits.

Probationary students will be allowed to register in a maximum of 2.0 full credit equivalents (4 standard half credit (H) courses). The restriction will be lifted and you may take a regular course load once you have either cleared your probation or you are allowed to continue on probation (because you have achieved a sessional grade point average of at least 1.60). Note: students who contravene this rule will be removed from ALL current and future session courses.
This is what the registrars website says

So basically the school is forcing you to do what I said. You are allowed to complete 2 credits per academic year (unless that is in reference to per term but with full year course options it sounds year, also perhaps you can take a summer school course?).
So either you take two full year courses or four half year courses. Trust me it is probably for the best if you take a lighter course load till you can straighten up and get priorities right. Pushing to get more credits but risking suspension wont help you get anywhere fast.

but the amount of courses i'm doing now is still equivalent to as if i were to do 4 half credits per semester
At the end of the year i'm still going to earn 4 full credits
wether I do 4 Half credits in the fall and 4 half credits in the winter semester.
Because I know being on academic probation you're Not allowed to have a full course load
which means earning 5 credits at the end of the Fall/Winter semester.
Sorry if it's kind of confusing

From what it sounds like to me, you are allowed 2 full credits for the year not the semester. Which means 4 half credit courses each semester would be 4 not 2. Without more information I can't be certain of that since the ruling you posted doesn't specify.

It's not confusing at all. I know what you mean... but you're calculating it the wrong way. You're basically dividing your Y course into two 0.5 courses but it's the same course code! So that is an interesting situation if they will allow that to happen when it's not accepted as one of the types of course loads. You better get that academic advisor to write you a letter saying you were allowed to do that. The last thing you need is to be removed from all future courses as per rules.
But you do realize that you don't get that Y credit until the end of your WINTER TERM, so that is where the system is detecting your mistake. Assuming that you do well in all courses, you will end up with 1.5 credits in FALL, and then 2.5 in the WINTER which is going against rules.

ooh so i understand now
just because i will be getting 0.5 more credits in the winter term the system thinks i'm doing a lot more than i'm allowed.
Couldn't they make an exception?
Or technically i am going against the rules?
