Hi,
I am looking for a soft toy 'Hobbes' character from Calvin and Hobbes for my baby. What I am seeing in almost every store is the 'tigger' character from the Pooh cartoon which I do not want. Anyone know where I can get one in Toronto.
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the creator never licensed out Calvin & Hobbes for anything. Although I was disappointed I couldn't buy my nephew something Hobbes-related 15 years ago, I kind of like it that way now.

Yep. Bill Watterson was completely against any sort of merchandising for Calvin & Hobbes. AFAIK, the only products officially licensed and released were a couple of calendars and a textbook, all of which sell for ridiculous amounts of money now.

I was also dissapointed when i found out there were no official toys. I named my son Calvin because of my childhood love of this comic.
There have been quite a few homemade hobbes dolls that people have put pictures of on the internet. All are copyright infringement (or whatever legal term should be used) but some are quite brilliant.
Here's one.
