I've been planning on using these points for a trip to Thailand for a very long time but with the recent flooding it has pretty much wiped that possibilty off the map.

I'd like to travel 2 ppl anywhere with good weather between dec 3ish - dec 22ish. I'm having a hard time thinking of and finding a good travel plan. Me and my girlfriend are pretty adventurous travelers and wouldn't complain with the craziest of travel routes. My original plan was Vancouver - hong kong - thai - london - vancouver or something like that but right now im pretty much open to anything.

Im hoping RFD users could help me come up with some sort of good deal travel plan leaving from van between those dates.

Thanks

Tyler

It would seem to me that the one that needs to decide what they want to do or where to go is you. It would depend on where British Airways goes from your home location (I am assuming you Ba is British Airways?).
Using the points for the flight and your 5 grand for other stuff for a few weeks opens up innumerable possibilities.

Thailand is a big country and the floods are not affecting all areas. I have friends who live in Bangkok and are giving me daily updates as I have another friend who is going there in November. About the only place that will be off limits to my visiting friends in November will be Ayutthaya which is now officially closed until end of November. The flood waters in Bangkok will crest in about a week or so. Travel in December should be no problem. This site has up to date flood information: http://www.thaitravelblogs.com/ and when not covering the floods is also a good source for Thailand travel information
