why is the site loading so slow compared to usual? I cant even load the homepage properly on google chrome, and struggle to load it just enough to be able to click forums with IE...is this only happening to me? any help?

just to shed some more light on my current situation....

Instead of it taking it's time to load, it actually FREEZES my google chrome and really severely lags my IE.

same here.. yesterday RFD froze on my chrome.. I had to ctrl + alt + delete to kill it..
same thing happening today on safari on my laptop.. I had to force close redflagdeals.
the mobile version for redflagdeals on my phone is giving me a server error
yikes.. this has been happening for quite some time now and i'm surprised its not fixed yet.

I'm using chrome and am not having any difficulties loading the hot deals section - or any pages for that matter. What version of Chrome are you guys using? Does it load the page at all and freeze, or what happens?

Chrome: 14.0.835.202 m
It freezes then says SCript failed to run. Do you wish to stop or continue?
Either way, it freezes again.
Then it crashes to Awwww chrome error message.
Now I get the message: The following page has become unresponsive.
Kill page or Wait.

From IE9 warning
internet explorer has modified this page to prevent cross-site scripting

If it has to do with the ads, makes me wonder if the ads are safe or not.

When i try to view the full site via iphone, it also freezes. But i can access the deals and forums and such via the RFD app. So far, this and me extremely laggy IE are the only ways i'm able to access RFD. Anyone know a way to raise this issue to admin?

Yep, can't even access RFD with Chrome. Freezes right up and makes my mouse all laggy (because the CPU is at 100%). I have to kill the tab. It seems to happen on Firefox too upon first loading RFD, then the CPU usage gradually drops. Which is how I am able to post this now.

How can I block these sites? RFD crashes when using Chrome. Maybe RFD should just remove those ads, you'd think they'd test them out first...........

Internet Explorer goes to 90 plus percent.
nsx moved and closed my thread with no comment, I assume they don't give a crap. Too bad, I used to like the site.
Confirmed.... Firefox jumps to 30-40 percent for a second or two then subsides... so that is useable.
The problem is certainly RFD if both Chrome and IE fail... maybe FF simply refuses to hog the cpu and bails out.

I was experiencing the website not loading until I blocked these sites. Thanks! :D

I heard from mod nsx that he/she has forwarded the comment to one of the paid Admin staff. Hopefully they are already working on it.

Curiouser... now even FF floats up to 10 - 20% doing nothing on rfd pages. It's unanimous.

I use Kaspersky Internet Security. They have an anti-banner feature where you can add URLs to block/allow.
