Played WoW since vanilla, but its been on and off, play 2-3 months, off for 2-3 months. Play for 6-7 months, off for 6-7 months. I try new MMOs but have stopped since everything just makes me come back to WoW sadly. I am off WoW for a bit but I went to Blizzcon a few weeks ago, and while I'm not entirely impressed, I signed up for the free D2 and the mount promo lol.
A lot of my guildies and people I met at Blizzcon were all talking about the new Star Wars MMO, it seems interesting but I'll have to see. Currently I still play WoW(once a week?) with real life friends, they need a competent healer and my RL friend, who's also the guild mistress isn't good enough to be the main healer with a pugged 2nd healer. 1/7 in Firelands isn't bad when we started two weeks ago
While WoW does have its flaws, its just so standard and refined that you can't hate it and you end up comparing everything with WoW.

I play wow, though I'd probably classify myself as an extremely casual player. Waiting eagerly for the new warhammer 40k mmorpg.

same on the WH40K MMORPG, can't wait. There's something addictive about WH40K, I just can't put my finger on it.

WoW sort of depleted my interest in MMO's.
I played for about 4 years on and off...on some of the top guilds, got server firsts, guild firsts, etc...i payed my dues over many many many many hours.
..........and then my dues were nullified, and handed out to all the...yes...casual folks...who merely completed a few dungeons on the weekend.
And because WoW is so big, it influences other games...(think Apple and cellphones / tablets)
I expect all new games to do the same, despite how well they market (see: misrepresent (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misrepresentation)) them.
Games like this reward you for your effort and achievements, but if you dont reward the people who are crap at a game (majority of people)...the company loses subscribers, money and interest.
And casuals are were the money is at...which is unfortunately expected.
These days, everything is about hoarding a fan base...and now it's even worse...they hoard you and try to get you to adopt their awesome new "social networks" that promote anti socialism.

WoW myself although I've been out for about 6 months. The only others ones I've tried seriously were LoTR and Everquest. I'm itching to give DC Online a shot soon, just need to play through my backlog of offline games!

Diablo III when It comes out?
That's not a MMORPG.
I've tried a few MMOs over the years including WoW, EVE, LOTR, and Star Trek but I always end up losing interest. I played Star Trek the longest, likely due to being a fan of the franchise and I'll probably play that again when it becomes F2P soon. EVE was just too hardcore for me, and space felt awfully empty and I wasn't a fan of the combat system. A lot of the time, I was the only ship in the entire system.

Played WoW 4-5 years ago, nearly failed a class. I was so addicted haha.
I want to start playing again but I want to be able to play with RL friends. Sadly..noone has the time.

I still am playing WoW and I tried DC universe online just yesterday actually but it's confusing as hell to me! xD So I think I'll stick with my Worgen lock for now and set my nature shape shifter aside. ;)

DCUO has a crappy control system, not like WOW at all.

Played wow since vanilla. I was a casual player during vanilla, then started raiding hardcore in BC and wrath, quit after ulduar and started to PVP/Arena. In Catalysm, i beaten 2-3 raid bosses in total, just casually doing random pvp pugs and arena. I still subscribe to WoW but im playing a lot less than i used to since all my friends who i played with quit.

Lineage, Lineage II, Aion, WoW.
Dabbled in WoW in vanilla then quit till Cata came. Played for 10 months or so and now I'm waiting for 4.3. Cleared Firelands so there isn't much to do.

Played Rift for a few weeks, not a big fan
Played FFXI for 8 years, stopped last month because the game is just trash now.
Playing FFXIV with rl friends like 3-4 days a month, that's about it now!
edit:
ryanmission made a great point.
FFXI, after 7 years, finally went the way of the casual player. Basically years of playing to get gear was tossed out the window and completely replaced with gear you can literally obtain in about 3 days.

Have played WoW on and off. Usually play for 1-2 months each time an xpac comes out, then wait until the next xpac since I get bored.
Have played the one free month of DAOC, WH40K, Rift, AoC. Rift was probably my favourite non-WoW MMO.
Got an invite for Star Wars beta this weekend. Can't wait :D
