View Full Version : Beware of jdc4 - Unreliable, Sketchy and Rude

I have attempted twice to purchase two separate devices from jdc4, once in early 2011 and again this past week.

He posted that he was selling the Nokia N9, and around ten minutes after the post I PM'd him saying I would purchase the phone. He replied quickly, telling me to SMS him.

I replied at once and asked him to set up a time that night to meet, which he ascented to. A couple hours before we were supposed to meet he texted me saying he wouldn't be home in time, and could we move it to tomorrow. I said sure, let's meet up at tomorrow morning. He told me he'd message me in the morning to confirm and I said fine.

The next morning he texted me AGAIN telling me it wouldn't work out and could we do it that evening or the following day. This was the SECOND time he'd done this to me, in the same fashion as the first: yes, let's meet up; sorry, can't meet up tonight, can we do tomorrow; can't do it tomorrow, etc, etc.

And just like the first time, I didn't hear from him after that until I checked the post and found that he'd already sold the phone. I messaged him asking him why he didn't message me to set up the sale and he told me to "Go away," and "Bye." Whenever I tried to message him after that, he either ignored me or told me "Bye," "Go Away," etc. No explanation as to why to reneged on the sale in the first place.

I understand jdc4 did nothing wrong, per se. But he is dishonourable and a bad seller, at least in my eyes. I'd warn anyone from trusting his word, as I went to the trouble of taking out money and changing my arrangements in order to meet up with him, TWICE, and he reneged both times without warning.

To calls that I'm just being a whiny sore loser, fine, perhaps I am. But I have dealt with dozens of cool, honourable, reliable people on RFD, and this guy is the first person to change my opinion.

No worries dude, I already know what a whiny and rude idiot this guy is as evidence by this thread:

We all called him out for being so cold-hearted and he doesn't even admit it.

JAC - Please dig up info for this loser!

I don't think this dude deserves to have his info posted, but I definitely wouldn't want to deal with someone like that. I don't understand why guys like this act like scared children. They agree to meet you somewhere, you take time out of your day and they just plain don't show up. You agree to meet them again, they don't show up again. Then without any explanation, they dodge your calls and refuse to talk to you and end up selling to someone else.

Grow up and be a man! If you didn't fully intend to sell the product, don't post it. If you have a bad feeling about the buyer or any other reason to not buy the product, grow some balls and tell the person. Don't set up meets that you have no intention on following through with. If you prefer to deal with another buyer or have already sold the product, don't continue to lead on the other buyers and then just plain ignore them.

My guess is he used OP as a "back up" plan which is pretty shady.

lol. Could it possibly be that he did it out of spite?

I sure think so.

This dude should have let OP knows that there is a pending transaction and if it didn't go through he will contact OP again.
It's really rude to waste others time like this, definitely a good warning for RFD community but I don't think we have to post his personal info up here yet.

Why did you bump up a 4 month old thread?
