Hi,
I am looking for a good portrait lens (50mm) for sony nex-5n. I have already purchased the LAEA2 adapter. Anyone use the sony nex 50mm1.8? or should I try a nikkor with nikon adapter? or the sony alpha 50mm 1.4?

Thanks in advance...

do you need AF?

adding a LAE2 + a 50mm 1.4 will be huge, might as well get a real DSLR :D

AF is not necessary.... just creamy bokeh....
I have the option of just carrying the 16mm f2.8 lens which makes it nice and compact...

The Minolta 50mm F1.7 is a good bargain and great in low light. Close to the Sony F1.8 but better build.
Just remember the 50mm would be a 75mm and not the true 50mm of full frame film cameras.

If I had the money I'd look at the Zeiss 24MM f1.8 since
This is the ultimate camera combo for street.

If AF is not necessary there are tons of old 50mm manual lens with creamy bokeh.
Most of them are usually < $100
