I remember someone posting about this issue ages ago, then it went away, but now it's back with a vengance.

Basically when you're typing your response to a post, or really anything in that box, the scroll bar on the side of the box jumps up and down when you try to select a part of the text, so that you can never click on the part you want, the cursor always ends up a bunch of lines above where you want it, this makes it very difficult to delete parts of a post you want to quote. Obviously, this only happens when you quote/type enough text to extend the box, and even just trying to drag the scroll bar down to read what's at the bottom of the box doesn't work, it just bounces right back up as soon as you let go of it.

This is driving me crazy, though attempting to avoid extending the text box is helping to encourage brevity in my posts. ;)

I came across this one once but couldn't reproduce it. Can you tell me what browser, version, operating system and version you're on?

Sounds to me like you're using IE 8+.
Click the Compatibility View button. -> http://res1.windows.microsoft.com/resbox/en/Internet%20Explorer/main/8f153c7e-2384-4922-95f6-ae9919063999_34.jpg

Yep, I am. Strangely though, the problem seems to have once again vanished as quickly as it appeared. But if it ever happens again I'll try that, thanks for the suggestion.
