I've been off RFD for a while and just checked back in and I dislike this forum layout "upgrade" more than the last one.
Safe to say that I am using this less and less and soon it will be never.

Take a good product and break it should be RFD motto.

:S, what's wrong with it? I haven't had any problems doing what I normally do on these forums before and after the change. In fact I find it just feels smoother and faster.

It worked perfectly 2 iterations ago (unless I missed a few in-between) .

yet you don't explain why the people running the site should care? Not like you're paying for usage.

You are right, I am not paying but the people running the site benefit from traffic and referrals. That's why they should care.

What exactly do you not like about the new layout?
Without specifics there can be no constructive conversation & the mods should shut this thread down. Did they delete some features or something that I'm not aware of? I'm not all that computor savvy & I don't seem to have any problems navigating the site so I don't understand your complaint.
Please enlighten me. I didn't even realize they changed anything.
BTW I'm serious.

This is the feedback forum where users provide feedback to the company. I figured this would be self-evident given that you're posting here but apparently you need a reminder. They do not have to listen to user advice but given that this is a website largely sold on user metrics and advertisement opportunity it would certainly behoove them to do so. Users don't need to pay for the site, they are the currency here. If you have no useful feedback to provide and just want to berate other users then maybe you're the problem here.

Getting back to the topic, I don't mind the redesign but there is a lot of wasted space and too much scrolling to find information that used to be readily accessible. For example on the homepage at 1920x1080 I still have to scroll three times to even see a "deal" whereas it used to be a great "at a glance" thing. The forum itself has a lot of empty pixels which create scrolling when looking at forum indexes. Could these things be addressed at some point?
