For the longest time, I've been buying the Ding Ho (orange and red label) brand fish paste from the Asian supermarkets - for stuffing the green peppers for frying (like the ones you get at dimsum). Lately however they've been not pasty, but more like gel, so that one cannot scoop it up with a spoon, but almost have to slice it with a knife. I'm worried that there's some old dead fish in it or lot of cornflour?
Do you buy this item (I don't buy the balls from China as there may be plasticizer in it) and if so where, and what brand? And duh, no I can't make my own.
