Amazon Discount/Coupon on Books?

I am aware that books are fairly cheaper on Amazon.ca (comparing to buying them retail), but I am wondering if they ever go 'even cheaper' with special discounts/coupon during boxing day etc.?
Maybe something like $10 off $100 (something like that - i just made this up)

there used to be a $10 code off $40 or $50 for new accounts only. It lasted for quite some time but has been dead for a long time. It was abused by all :) I have not seen a code like that since. let me know if you do though! gl
