Beware of international roaming fees. Download the ebook to your computer and then transfer via USB to be safe.

Ignore the post above, you aren't going to be charged any "international roaming fees" for buying a book from the Kindle store. Sending the book to your computer than over USB to your Kindle is a needless step, defeating the entire purpose of having Wifi+3G on your Kindle.

I've purchased perhaps 50-60 FREE Kindle books from the store and every time sent them directly to my Kindle without any silly fee.
Hell, you can use the 3G to surf the web and even download .mobi files directly over 3G for free from within the experimental browser.
Try surfing to www.gutenberg.org over the 3G, you can download any book in .mobi format without issue. Never been charged a thing.

The only time you would have to worry about 3G fees is sending personal documents over 3G. The way to combat this is to go to "Personal Delivery Settings" under "Manage My Kindle" on Amazon.com and set the Whispernet delivery maximum charge limit to $0.00. This way personal documents will NEVER be sent to your @Kindle.com address, instead always sent to your @free.kindle.com address. Meaning you will need to connect to a wifi before they will load onto your Kindle.
