So i bought the bose companion 3 series speakers off someone from craigslist.
We met up but i just checked to see if everything is there. (Cant really test the speakers)
He assured everything works. Got home and voila! speakers have no sound. I call him but he doesnt pick up.
All i have is his number which is 647 990 5413. Is there anything I can do at this point or im out $200 bucks?

You're out $200.
Haven't you heard about people with a Van carrying low end or defect or fake speakers and scam people around?
In your case, it happen thru CL which is the same. They are strangers to you and you trust them by handing out the cash and expect that they perform the same as they bought new from store.
Always test the electronics that you buy from strangers, offer to go to his place and test it at yours before complete the transaction and handing out cash.
**Just make sure it is safe for you to go to his place or let him get in yours.

Try contacting Bose's technical support. Maybe you can work something out with them.
I had an old Bose Apple Sounddock (bought it 4 years ago) and I called Bose stating that it doesn't charge my iPhone 4. They actually let me pay an extra $200-$300 to upgrade to the current Sounddock portable.
Hope this helps!

This Is why I always look at peoples Heatware/Feedback before even thinking about making the deal.. I know It's going to limit the stuff I can buy but still at least then you know It's legit.
That sucks to hear OP, He probably wouldn't open the door...
It's really sh***y that people can be that low to sell a broken product..

called bose this morning and we went through the set up process to make everything was plugged in correctly and I found out that the pins inside the connector for the control pod was dented thus not pluggin in properly. They said im gonna need a new control pod which is about 44.99 + tax and shipping. Texted him about the situation and now im gonna wait for a reply to see what he says..

I think he's scamming you again..
I got scammed by a guy in a van for some leather coats, and I was like maybe tomorrow, but he pulled out some airline tickets and said he had to fly back to Italy tomorrow..
Turned out the coats were a pile of steaming doo doo..
Probably the same guy, but if you do meet him ask if he had leather coats for sale about 12 years ago..lol

Just buy the part and fix and make it works. Meanwhile, keep tracing the seller, doesn't hurt to keep doing so. Just "try" to ask for the partial refund on the extra part you bought to make it work.
