I didn't realize this, and I can't find any recent deals on RFD for Cineplex, but I went to a movie yesterday and the movies were $7.50 and $10.50 (3D).
This was at the large theatres in Edmonton, so I don't know if this is a national promotion.
I do know the Telus special ended a long time ago.
Is this new?

This has been around forever. Used to be 5 dollars, now its more "because of the economy"

I believe most of the Cineplex Threatres in Ontario/Quebec have been running that promotion for a long time. Two years ago, when I was in Ottawa, Tuesday tickets were only $4!

Sounds like a gouge. Last year they had the Telus Tuesdays promo where the movies were $4 on Tuesdays, and $8.xx with popcorn and drink.

We always had cheap Tuedays here in Vancouver. The prices have varied through the years though. At times they were 1/2 priced.

Officially, the promotion has been gone for several months now. But most Cineplexe still kept running the promo locally as they believed it to be a big selling point for their respective theatres. It's simply that it wasn't a chain wide promo anymore. I don't believe it is back officially either yet. My girlfriend runs a Cineplex, so it comes from a credible source ;)

I presume that's only for actual "Cineplex Odeon" branded theatres right? Like, it doesn't include all the Famous Players brands that they purchased a while back and now own (i.e. Famous Players, Silver City, Coliseum, Colossus, etc.) nor Galaxy...or does it?

Cineplex and other company owned theatres run both separate and common promo campaigns. Not sure wether this is company wide or just chain wide, I know for a fact it does concern both Cineplex and Galaxy theatres (what I stated above)

I always go to the same 2 cineplex, one is silver city and the other is colossus and both had half off on Tuesdays for as long as i remember which is at least a couple of years.

In Edmonton it definitely went away for a while. Then, they started the Telus promo which was basically free popcorn and a drink, and then it ended a while ago.
I stopped going to Cineplex on Tuesdays because of it. Empire locally had the only deal on Tuesdays for a long time.

Yes this is chain wide including Famous Players which Cineplex merged in 2005.

Another movie deal you might like is AMC's movies are only $6.00 when they start before noon. Good for weekends and holidays, summers etc.
But Imax is an extra $5.00 and 3D is an extra $3.00.
All tax is included.
