Why do some foods have so much salt, specifically frozen pizzas (Delisssio) even fresh pizzas ?

it can be a preservative, flavor enhancer, used to cure meat, etc. maybe with the case of pizzas it's something to do with the dough

pepperoni's have salt, the cheese probably has salt and i'm pretty sure the tomato sauce has salt as well so that's probably why.

Most heat-and-eat foods are packed with so much salt mainly for preservatives. That's why it's always better if you're the one who will prepare what you eat because you know what's in it. I for one am not fond of eating "not fresh" food. For me, they are all junk food. Besides, I love cooking, so I don't detest spending some time in the kitchen.
