Thanks! I wondered what that store was whenever I drove past. Never realized it was a cake shop. I love macarons. Have yet to have a decent one in Toronto. I can almost try one of every flavour...maybe I should buy 2 of these.

Save yourself the trouble. I've tried their macarons recently when they had the $10 deal and was thoroughly disappointed. It's the first time I've ever eaten a macaron that has a hard shell and a filling that sticks to your teeth like taffy. They were either very stale, or they don't know how to make macarons properly. I guess I should have known better based on the price. If you want real macarons, try Nadège Patisserie (www.nadege-patisserie.com) on Queen St W next to Trinity Bellwoods Park instead.

Visited their store once, one side is a open concept kitchen.

The other side is where all their macarons and cupcakes are.

Haven't tried their cupcakes, but my friends and family loves their macarons, especially their Oreo flavor!!!

From my experience the radius for one of these macarons is equivalent to the diameter of a quarter. This is from what I recall, the last time I bought some was like 2 months ago.

Macarons are pretty expensive in general, I know some other stores in the markham area sells it for $4 - $6 per piece.

I wish i can buy 10 of these vouchers..... its so expensive buying these treats......

I would not necessarily consider macarons to be a "great stocking stuffer", as they really only last at most a day or two before drying out...

Well, I know some Lebanese bakeries around here they have a pastry called Macaroon and it is like a stick of dough/semolina? and fried and glazed w syrup.

In North America I know Godiva has coconut macaroons, there is also the chocolate candy in a box Macaroon? (chocolate and coconut?).

But I recently just bought online some other French Macarons and they were like small meringue cookies- they were from Chocodirect and called Macarons Roses made by Fossier.
Always wanted to try them and kept on forgetting to order them, they were good..too expensive to buy often.
