I just saw it and the 3D effects were amazing (probably right up there as one of the best). The story was a bit of meh, but the 3D effects and the sound were well worth the price of admission. If you are looking to shut off your brain for 1 hr and 40 minutes, I recommend going to see this movie.

I saw the first one, Clash of the Titans and though it wasn't a great movie, it had one hilarious scene in it that was worth the price of admission. I didn't like enough to go see the sequel though. And I certainly wouldn't pay extra to see it in the inferior 3D gimmick. As Roger Ebert recently noted:
3D causes a noticeable loss in the brightness coming from the screen. Some say as much as 20 percent. If you saw an ordinary film dimmed that much, you might complain to the management. Here you're supposed to be grateful you had the opportunity to pay a surcharge for this defacement.
Fortunately, Wrath of the Titans is playing in plenty of 2D theatres - 20% brighter for 20% less $$$ - it's the RFDer's choice!

Ebert's eyes must be going on him! Mine are and I didn't notice any brightness problems. The film was okay, nothing spectacular. The shaky cam stuff is what disturbs me more since you usually can't see anything at all. It was like that on Hunger Games as well, but maybe to mask all the bloodletting...

I heard the 2nd one was not great and it got bad reviews. Even watching the trailer, one can see that it doesn't look great.

It was not masterpiece writing, but like I said, if you're a person who enjoys awesome 3D effects it's worth the price of admission. I don't find going to theatres worth the time & money if it's a regular drama/romance movie. That's what home theatres are for.

The only way I would see a movie in 3d would be if it was actually filmed in the format then you don't have to worry about the brightness
