Apologies if there has already been discussion on this restaurant; I did a forum search and I can't believe no results came up.

I am planning to take a friend to their Alexander St. location for a weekday lunch in a few days. Does anybody have any food they could recommend or avoid, and possibly what other parts of the overall dining experience to note? I might go with this website reviewer's pad thai recommendation, and possibly its chicken and curry dishes although I'm a bit less eager to try those since we eat them in other Asian cuisine from time to time: http://www.cookiesandtomatoes.com/2010/07/pi-toms-thai-cuisine.html

Hmm, according to Google's reviews, Pi-Tom's regularly miscalculates the bill. And apparently, voucher-bearers like me beware especially...

I've used a voucher there once before and didn't have a problem with either portion size or the calculation of the bill.

Trying to remember what we had. I think it was the Thai Cold Rolls, Mango Salad, Curry Duck and either the Tamarind Beef or Ginger Beef. Food was good, not exceptional. Portion sizes were pretty decent.

The Pad Thai in the reviewer's pic looks really good - much more authentic than what passes for Pad Thai at most of places.

Pi-Tom's restaurant has been mentioned on this recent thread at RFD:

Restaurants near Younge and Dundas? All good ones but especially a good Thai (http://forums.redflagdeals.com/restaurants-near-younge-dundas-all-good-ones-but-especially-good-thai-1108101/)
