Hi guys. I just applied application for University of Toronto, Ryerson and York.
The expected tuition fee for my program is about $8000 which is too much to effort for myself so I will have to own a bank since I don't qualify OSAP program. The thing is the bank will not own me $8000 because I don't have that good credit.
However, the question is:
"Is it possible to pay tuition fee quarterly, like people pay the rent quarterly?? Is that kind of financing program available for the universities that I applied??".
Please help me!! It will be appreciated for your answers. THANK YOU!!

Talk to the financial aid dept. of the University that you get accepted to. I think you'll find out that they can be quite accommodating when they want to be, but it will be up to you to plead your case. You might also consider appealing OSAP, if the problem is your parents' income. I know that they used to accept signed documentation from your parents, saying they refuse to help with tuition. I'm not sure if that has changed. Check the OSAP thread, or shoot a PM to CSK Mom - She is the RFD authority on all things OSAP and knows her stuff.

Judging from the grammar of the post I would guess that the OP is not a Canadian citizen.

Yes you are right. I'm immigrant and I don't have permanent residency or citizenship. My permanent residency that I applied is in process and it will take time. By the time I get the residency, I would be a senior in university. I know that my grammar sucks ;) Thank you guys for your replies!!!

I think that you must be a canadian citizen to receieve OSAP. I think that you are stuck as far as a private bank loan because i'm sure they require a SIN as well as other proof of credit, etc. Honestly buddy if you don't have the money, I think you are stuck. Have you considered working for a year, saving up the money, and then applying again to university?
As far as paying quarterly, it doesn't really work like that. Most university will expect you to pay for each semester as it begins, so that would be twice a year, first in september and then in january.

You might have luck getting a loan from a bank (or something similar to OSAP) from the country which you're originally from. You don't qualify as an international student I guess but it might be easier to at least try getting a loan that way if possible.

Shouldn't your tuition be more like 20,000 a year because you are an international student?

Hmmm I remember in grade 12, a bunch of new immigrant students enrolled in our HS. They all applied to university, and were required to do English tests, toefl etc. Most did get accepted and did not qualify for OSAP but it didn't matter as long as they didn't pay international fees..

It really depends on the University I guess. I am pretty sure at UfT you can't enroll into a semester unless you pay the amount you owe in full or get a government deferral. At Ryerson, I am not sure if they will allow you make payments over the interval. Afaik, payments are supposed to be made before the start of the semester. You probably will have a hard time getting loan from Canadian bank unless you can give them some sort of guarantee (probably will have high interest still). You can really try to achieve amazing grades in high school (if you are in Grade 12) and get some sort of scholarship.
