My favorite reality show comes back for it's 24th season!

It premieres this February! Two tribes living together in one island.

I wonder how long before they mix up the tribe?

As for tonight's premiere, I love the Survivors (Cast). A lot fit girls this season, loving Chelsea. :hot:

The Immunity Challenge was cut short, Jeff told them to land on their back with arms crossed and most did not listen. It cost the girl's tribe immunity, since Kourtney broke her wrist but saved them from having to vote in Tribal Counsel.

It's too early to pick favorites. I don't know what Colton is up too but from next week's previews it looks like he's playing the girls(?).

Yeah, some good-looking girls this time around. (Guys too, to be honest. They're not letting many old-timers or any fatties in this time). I hope the girls get their act together quickly so they can stick around. (I'd much rather watch them than the guys).

I hope they get rid of the annoying woman who was arguing with the Asian girl though. She seems really nasty. Sad to think she's trusted with "special needs" kids.

Shame about Kourtney's nasty tats. She'd have been one of the best-looking girls, but thanks to them I don't mind her gone.

Is Colton the blatant "girlie boy"? I really don't get him? If he's gay, why isn't he enjoying himself surrounded by the fittest guys he's ever likely to meet? I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of them are gay too (it seems to be the nature of these shows). As it is, he's unlikely to last beyond that immunity idol, if he even has the brains to use it correctly. He's so useless I'm sure the women will soon be sick of him, and he's doing nothing to give the men reason to keep him around. How the heck did he get onto the show in the first place?

Russell's mini-me could be interesting, but what's with those stupid nipple rings? It's like some contestants deliberately put themselves at a disadvantage. I foresee a painful injury for the little guy.

BTW, anyone else think that "nasty woman" mentioned earlier resembles the cute kid in the "you didn't offer me a real pony" ad? Hope the kid doesn't grow up nasty like that, just because she didn't get a pony. :D

One of the Tarzan-wannabees, the one with the man-boobs, and the retired policewoman with the now-beat-up face, look to be the only older contestants. The rest may well be too shallow and boring to be worth getting to know. It's like the producers needed to throw together a quick show so they drafted in the photo shoot from the studio next door, complete with the photographer ("man boobs") and his gay personal assistant. But I'll likely stay tuned in, so long as the female eye-candy are around. It's a nice-looking beach too, especially from the satellite shot. Anybody know where it actually is? From the helicopter I'm guessing a French Pacific island.

I hope TAR has a more interesting variety of contestants.

I love how the women were complaining last night about not getting a chance and that they would have allowed it... BS. It was a smart move to go after the ladies right away. it was a good choice.

I think the men vs women aspect will be juggled away soon as the women dont seem to stand a chance.

the women are a bunch of whiners, attempting to use their "sexuality" to advance in the game
just proves men are more superior when it comes to physcial challanges and strategic thinking.

It would have been a smart move by the men to let them, they were already 1 person up, and clearly doing a challenge in which they'd win, and the woman would think it was a nice gesture.

Wouldn't of continuing handicapped the men? The whole team had to run the course and get to the end? The women would of only needed 8 people to finish instead of 9. I would of made the same decision. In suvivor there's a huge advantage to being the team that is ahead at the merge. Why risk going to tribal when you don't have to?

Then again if one teams gets too many people voted out they usually do a tribe swap or something (except for that one time). Gotta survivor the environment, the players, and the producers! :)

They had flawed strategy too. For the first few crossings the best approach is to have the bystanders crowd closely together, giving more space for those performing the manoeuvre. Kat has great green eyes, but not much of a brain. The ousted cop was correct pointing out that she kept jumping in unneccessarily. But she then blew whatever chance she may have had by challenging the Asian woman (Kristina) too, drawing attention away from Kat.

I missed the start, but when I switched on the TV it was Colton whingeing to one woman, then another, then another. I got so sick of hearing him I hit Mute until he was finally off. If I was a rejected applicant, who really wanted to be on the show, I'd be so annoyed seeing someone as useless as him there. He must be related to a producer or something.

They'll have a merge, some guy will carry her to the end, and she'll take home the million dollars, despite not deserving it. We've seen it happen too many times before. >:( Even worse will be if Colton somehow ends up with the prize, carried to the end for being so weak.

Quite often we've seen people afraid to vote against the person with the idol. Which helps you stay in the game longer (one of the reason's I think Rob won last year). You do run the risk of being blindsided, but i think its an intimidating thing. If he plays it, then one of us are going home!

I went out last week rather than watch the show. Sad to see that the wimp actually seems to be controlling the male tribe. WTH happened? :(

At least it looks like Ms. Nasty might go tonight after she blew the puzzle.

Edit: He's bitching away right now. WTH are the producers doing? The more they show b**** boy, the more the audience tunes out. Wimpy's going to kill Survivor.

Edit: Okay, that's the end of it for me. Let me know if/when that spoilt, biggoted, little wimp is voted off. I'm going to find something else to do with my Wednesday evenings until then. This season of Survivor officially SUCKS. And going off tonight's vote, I don't want any of the "men" to win. What complete and utter morons and cowards. Not that I'm cheering for the women either. I really don't want any of this season's participants to win. Hopefully a tsunami or something will wash them all off the face of the Earth. They won't be missed.

It's a shame for contestants who take the challenge seriously and could really use the prize money - like Bill - that a spoilt little pratt like Colton can ruin their one and only chance to seriously improve their family's life. I really wish they'd do a better job screening contestants for the show. Lately we're getting far too many contestants (lawyers, doctors, athletes, etc) who are already well off in real life and just take part in Survivor as a vacation challenge. It would be far better if all the contestants had a real life-changing need for the prize. Have a separate contest for the rich, if you must.

Yah I can't believe Tarzan is supporting Colton like that, or the rest of his tribe. They went from a position where they would be up two people, to a position where they were tied. Up to last weeks episode, I thought they'd do a tribe reshuffle because the woman's tribe was imploding. Then the men's tribe imploded first.

I really don't get it. I also think burnett should make tribe's pay for their idiotic decisions. The clip for next week indicates a tribe shuffle. I sort of disagree with it. If a tribe is going to make idiotic choices make them live with the consequences.

People might want to take Colton to the end. The guy's even worse then Russell. There's no way anyone would give him the million. He's got no social game whatsover. Generally to win survivor, you need to play well, survive the producers, survive the elements, don't get hurt, and don't make everyone hate you (key point because if you screw people over too much they probably won't vote you a million).

I've seen some shady characters on this show who are pretty evil but they're evil in regards to winning the game. This guy on the other hand is just a terrible person in life. I fail to see how being a "struggle comedian" has anything to do with being on survivor. If anything, he's going on the show to try and improve his life. No one on the tribe has ever ripped on him for being gay, in fact, they've tried to integrate him. However, right off the bat, he tries to defect to the girls' team because they're "nurturing" and hell, even they didn't want him! I did think it was funny how Bill was trying to talk to him despite how much Coulton tried to resist.

I assume that for a team to give up immunity, everyone would have to agree. If Bill and/or Leif were on the chopping block then they would be the dumbest players ever to go along with such a plan. All you have to say is "nope, I don't agree" and you're safe for another 3 days at least and who knows what can happen? If they got into Bill's ear saying that Leif was gone and Leif knew he was safe because it was a ruse, then I get why no one objected. It's still a stupid move overall though.

Absolutely right, this move tonight was the DUMBEST thing I have ever seen. I cannot believe I just watched a tribe give up immunity. Bill should have demanded they keep immunity. it had to be a unanimous decision. . He actually thought they were voting Leif. Definitely some serious editing going on. It's a first for giving up immunity, but if you remember when Russell Hantz played they threw the challenge. I know Jeff Probst hates this type of stuff. I know exactly what's going to happen. He's going to skew all the challenges so the women win them. All he has to do is make the challenges non physical.

Wow, what an utter useless piece of trash Colton is. I hope they vote his a$$ off soon. And as for the men going to tribal, that is the dumbest move is Survivor history. More so then give away the individual immunity in season pass.

Not sure why they aren't flushing the idol from him.

Last night was just too much, I actually think Survivor jumped the shark...

Those exact words came to my mind when I saw this episode.

Colton is a pretty lousy human being but the thing is, he just might be in the best spot at the game right now. He has an idol, he clearly has some power of the core men's alliance and he has the ability to relate and interact with the women should there be a switch or merge. He's also not a threat to win any individual immunity challenges and is looking like a good "goat" to take to the final 2/3. He'd just need to think of an incredibly good speech to sway any jury though if he continues to piss more people off.

That whole move to give up team immunity was a good move ONLY for Colton and he got his team to do it. He may be a spoiled idiot but he's doing something right on that island.

Whatever he's doing is going to see the death of the show if it's allowed to continue. Viewers, myself included, are tuning out in droves. Once enough people change their viewing habits and start watching elsewhere the show will never be able to win them back. Colton may well be the weasely straw that finally breaks Survivor's back.

Anyway, I have an idea why all this season's "contestants" are so weak, and unwilling to upset the fat little princess. There was a mistake in casting. They actually all applied to be on a new show called The B@tchelor, and they all naturally see Colton as the principal b@tch. They think the aim of the contest is to be the one Colton chooses at the end. They all deserve each other.

Frees up my Wednesdays completely now though, at least, so I can get out and put my time to better use. :D

If Colton's team has any idea what they are doing they will try and blind side him. The guys know he has the idol and he has shown he wants to keep holding on to it. That being said it would jsut make sense so it wont happen.

I was surprised at how quickly they pulled a team shuffle. They've used it often in the past, but usually when one tribe is dominating the other tribe (except the one time where they let it dwindle down to Stephanie). Even with the men's dumb move, the tribes were still tied.

They blatently pulled a reset switch on the game. Switch up the tribes and moved them apart. I guess one world was a fail. The tribes really didn't interact other then asking each other for stuff.

It was becoming poor TV, and I understand why they made the switch. However they should of let the mens team live with the consequence of their decision.

heck, i'd say both but i was talking about colton

Speaking of witch Colton, this is hilarious. I'm not completely sure which quotes are made up and which actually aired but anything's possible with that loser:

http://johnsciacca.webs.com/apps/blog/show/12624482-survivor-one-world-total-dysfunction

Anyway, back to this (intentionally) humorous blog:

"So the guys are all building camp, making shelter, unfurling the tarp and basically working chop-chop, cut-cut, build-build away. Except, not all of the guys. Colton is pretty much doing nothing. Well, not nothing. He did find a swing to play in.

http://johnsciacca.webs.com/Colton%20in%20the%20swing.JPG

Colton seriously just swishes around the camp, whining and doing nothing. Well, he does roll his eyes a few times. If they could somehow harness that energy, the guy's camp would be watching DirecTV and drinking champ by Santana. And the guys aren’t oblivious to it. Colton clearly HATES the boys and wants nothing to do with them; a pretty solid strategy in a game that relies heavily on making social bonds and alliances where you are going to be LIVING with these people in close quarters for the forseeable future.

So, instead of pitching in and helping the boys and doing anything useful at his camp, Colton waltzes over to help the girls work on their camp, weaving palm fronds and putting glitter on stuff and bedazzling things and whatnot. Even the girls tell him to go back and try bonding with his team. Apparently the ONLY thing Colton has in common with the boys is having an extra appendage, and with the way Colton acts, I’m even questioning that. Being with the girls is a release for Colton and he loves the girls more than anybody on the island. I think that Colton is the perfect definition of a pocket gay.

Except the girls didn’t come on Survivor to get their own personal pocket gay and Colton is bugging the crap out of them. He’s one of those hanger-on guys that is just always around, lurking, annoying, clinging. “Colton why are you over here?”

The girls make up some excuse – “We, uh, need to start building some centrifuges to, uh, prepare for our uranium enrichment program! You know, secret stuff. So, you gots ta go!” “Oh! Please! Can I come back later at least? Maybe? Pinky swear?” So Colton sashays back to his tribe. He can’t be with the boys and the girls don’t want him. Oh, and PS. It’s day 4. SACK UP, MAN! You are on Survivor! Thousands of people would like to be out there in your place! Ugh! Do NOT ruin this season for me, you!

Colton apparently hears me because he then returns to the girl’s camp and starts pouring his heart out crying and begging to hang out with them. “Please! If I could take off my pee-pee and join your tribe I totally would, y’all! I just need to be with you girls! Can’t you see! I’m not playing a game here! Seriously! You can call BS if you want but I just need to be around my girls, y’all!” Barf!

The girls have had their fill of the Colton show as well. “It’s just not an option for us to have you over here all the time. We just can’t.”

Back at the boy’s camp, to chants of “Tarzan! Tarzan! Tarzan!” Greg – wearing something that was probably meant for someone much younger and smaller and to be shielded under several layers of clothes – does a fire dance. There is a lot of thrusting and shaking. And Colton likey.

With his spirits buoyed, Colton decides that he is going to regroup and make a go of life iat camp Boy. So he decides to tell Bill and Leif and Troy and sushi Jonas that he has an idol and he is going to play it at the next Tribal. It is a mind-blower to the team.

Somehow Colton doing absolutely nothing and just being GIVEN an idol by the girls makes him a “freak of nature” and “ridiculously smart” in Jonas' eyes. Uh, OK…

Anyhow, until Colton can break free of the nightmare which is life on the boy’s tribe, he is creating a “misfit alliance” of himself, Troy, Leif, Jonas and Tarzan. And he is their pastel and glitterfied king. None hail, King Colton! And now all of a sudden it is Colton’s world and the show should be called “Survivor Colton.” Clearly they were burning something in that fire that we missed at home…

Jump cut, zip-zap and we’re at the immunity challenge. I can only imagine the producers coming up with this one. “We want to get all of the women to do something where they are wearing nothing but their bathing suits. Then, um, I don't know, they have to totally hug and rub on each other. Yeah. That. Preferably over-and-over. And if they could be wet that would be SWEET! And is there ANY WAY to just guarantee some awkward boob-on-boob action. Thoughts? Brainstorm!”

The clear solution is a balance beam where people have to walk past their teammates one at a time while only touching one person. If you touch two people at any point, then you have to jump into the water and start over.

Again, I thought the girls might have the advantage here because of balance and that they are physically smaller. Though I *kinda* hoped the guys would just pick up Little Leif and chuck him all the way onto the final mat area. (Didn’t happen.) Kat goes first and second and third and fiftieth time for the women and she JUST…CAN’T…GET IT! Over and over Kat is back in the water.

Meanwhile the guys are getting guys to the end. Even Jeff says, “Kat may not be the best person to go on the end…” Kat even jumps into the water when she doesn’t have to. Not once but twice! Just randomly jumps in. Maybe she got hot out there, I don’t know. That Samoan sun can do crazy things to little blonde-heads. Monica decides to do it and just rocks it straight to the end. (I am totally digging that gal. She may be the second oldest but she is FIT and seems squared-away.) If it was a challenge of the ladies getting ONE player to the end before the men got EVERYONE to the end, they would win. But it isn’t. And..MEN WIN IMMUNITY!

Not once but twice the ladies blame their losing on having boobs. Somewhere girl power burst into flames and exploded in disbelief.

Back at camp the girls decide to chat it out. And even though Kat CLEARLY is the biggest reason that they lost, the girls don’t want to just put it on her. “We just need to do better, girls! We can do it! We’ve got good energy! Let’s channel it! Go Team!”

Twisted by the power of the Dark Side, Nina’s face is having none of it. Kat is a dumb blonde, a dumb broad, a complete idiot, ignorant, nitwit, and dumb as a rock, plain and simple, and she has to go. I’m beginning to think that Nina doesn’t like Kat, but I’m not totally sure… Nina starts using her Jedi mind powers on Monica and they decide that Kat is the one that should be going home.

http://johnsciacca.webs.com/Kat%20lady%20toot.JPG

Then at 31 minutes 36 seconds in, Kat does what every genteel, well-bred southern society lady does at a gathering of other society ladies.. She gently sets down her cup of tea, dabs at the crumbs on her lips and then walks up to Alicia and farts on her! Yes. You can clearly hear it followed by, "Eww, Kat! That's gross!" Perhaps this is just the most lady-like thing she can think of. Ah, Kat! You’re just so cute and funny! Actually, no. You’re not. You’re lame and annoying. (OK, you ARE cute. I wasn't lying about that part.) Maybe you should swap places with Colton; he actually acts more like a girl than you do."

That confirms it. I'm not going to bother watching CBS' version of Survivor this season. The written blogs are FAR more entertaining. And I'll never, ever have to hear Colton's annoying idiotic drawl ever again. :D

I can't believe anything on these reality shows anymore, who knows how the editing works and what really happened. For example - they show Alicia and Colton treating Christina like absolute garbage then all of a sudden Christina is massaging Colton's head, why would she do that after being told to jump in the fire? The interactions are just so whack that there must be some creative tv making going on.

You are obviously trying to do your buddy's bidding and get me to say something that I won't say, because it's really not an issue for me. Your friend may throw around untrue and unsubstantiated accusations and lies to achieve his goals, just like your favourite Survivor contestant, but just like on the show, that doesn't make a single one of them true. Just like we have no way of knowing which of your own posts are true or not. For all we know, you might be Colton. He has apparently been recognised posting on other, Survivor-oriented, sites, using a fictional ID. With the internet you never really know if anything is true, especially when it comes from an anonymous stranger.

Colton's problem really is that he couldn't hide behind internet anonymity. I really don't envy him a single day of the rest of his life. He's become the poster boy for intolerant, hateful, scheming, lying trolls everywhere. He's really not made himself very popular. Except apparently with you.

I'm sure the other members here would be very appreciative and interested in hearing more about why YOU think Colton is so great? We are all obviously missing something. Maybe you can open our eyes to his true greatness, and how he would have ultimately somehow gone on to win the show, despite offending everybody on the planet along the way? The floor is all yours...

Good luck. We're all looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Wow, and it's suggested that Colton is overly dramatic!!!

I've been watching Survivor since it first came out, and each season there are several contestants who are annoying, or offensive, or dishonest, or all of those things and then some. Boston Rob, for one. He's probably THE most popular player ever. Then there is Russel, and Jerri and many others whose names escape me right now. It's a game and it has it's heroes and it has it's villains. It makes for ratings. Guys like them (and gals like Jerri and the others) are what make the show interesting. You suggested it's turning off viewers and I'm challenging that assertion. Has nothing to do with my "buddy" as you call her. I've never met the woman so I hardly consider her my "buddy".

You seem to have an obsession with Colton as you refer to him in so many of your posts so I was merely questionning your original statement that he, Colton is turning away viewers and I'm curious as to why you seem to believe that. Seems Colton has impacted you in some very deep and meaningful way. I just find that interesting is all.

"Her" huh? I did not know that. Seems you do know her a lot better than most RFDers do.

Anyway, take off the blinders, stop obsessing on me, for whatever reason, (why are you obsessed with me all of a sudden, BTW? :?:), and read the several pages of this thread preceding this. See all the people who dislike Colton, for numerous reasons? People other than me. LOTS of other people. See anybody else who likes him and thinks he played a great game? Or even a decent one? :?:

We all like to watch villains in our shows, especially ones like Russell who are clearly very competitive and hard working, even if we do question their morals. How do you find Colton comparable to past villains? He was basically useless, argumentative, intolerant, ignorant, and most of all mean. The only reasons he was still on the show were: 1-A girl was injured in the first episode. 2-A girl found an idol (there's no way Colton would have found it, whining to everybody on the beach) and unfortunately had to give it to a member of the male tribe. She gave it to Colton. How extremely lucky for him. He did absolutely nothing to deserve it. 3-The women's tribe continued losing challenges. 4-I'd tuned out by this point, but apparently all the other men are clueless about playing the game, even such basics as forcing the idol into play. They even put poor old Bill on the chopping block, despite the women losing another challege, because Colton threatened another tantrum if they didn't. Meanwhile he just lay around in his hammock, doing absolutely nothing useful.

After all that, can you really claim that Colton was great, or even a competitor? Obviously the rest of us all missed it. Please enlighten us all on what we missed. Maybe we were all visiting the bathroom at exactly the same time? Everybody but you apparently. I'm sure we all really want to know what we all missed. Yes, ALL of us.

BTW, did you really find his comments on poor working people, African Americans, and short people, among others no doubt, praiseworthy? Or even acceptable? If so, you really aren't the person you usually try to come across as. I must say I'm very disappointed.

In fact there you have it. Colton was very mean, thoughtless, and hateful in his comments regarding the poor, short, and "coloured" (his word, iirc - remember he's from the Old South, from a state that still flys the pro-slavery Confederate flag). Is that not enough reason to find him annoying? And to cause decent-minded people to be turned off the show while he was still present and mouthing off? It was enough reason for me, and for pretty much everybody else here, and indeed right across the continent. So glad most of us are decent Canadians, and not at all like him.

We don't like nasty Alicia either, BTW. It says something that Colton was EVEN WORSE than her. Hopefully she'll be gone this week.

First of all, just about anyone who reads RFD OT knows that she is a she so don't play innocent with me. There has been plenty of discussion about just that fact. Also, do not flatter yourself with your assertion that I am obsessed with you. I have hardly ever responded to anything you've ever written and if anyone is suffering from obsession, look in the mirror and you will see that person.

I have never said I like that Colton person. I suggest that he is just playing the game the way he chose to play it and if he didn't have that health issue crop up, he would probably still be there. It's a game!!! It's not real life!!! The producers of that show probably loved him and just you watch. He will probably be back in a future season. Mark my words. You had suggested that he turned the viewers away and I was merely challenging that suggestion. The producers LOVE characters like him because it's contestants like him that the viewers love to hate and that the viewers come back week after week to hate and make fun of. It's all part of the game.

Look how many times they brought Russell back. People HATED that guy. He didn't turn viewers away. He brought viewers in because people love to hate. It's all part of the show Imagine how boring that show would be if it was a show with all contestants like say, Elizabeth Hasslebeck? The show wouldn't have lasted more than one season.

I don't think Colton was one of those players that viewers love to hate. What TV producers don't get it, is that sometimes there is a person/character that people loathe so much, that they don't actually want to watch them on the show. Sometimes producers get it wrong. Russell was someone people loved to hate, and some people even liked. The guy was aggressive and groundbreaking with his play. Colton was just an a**hole. I agree with you that Colton would of stayed in the game for a while. Even maybe to the end (because there's no way he'd win). However I think survivor would of lost viewers if that happened.

I don't think the producers will get it and try to bring him back for another season. They don't have another Russell on their hands, but they probably don't get it.

I'm not entirely sure who you're referring to here. I'm obviously not referring to Karla's Mom, but rather her buddy, who you at least appear to be connected to, since you seem to be pushing the same agenda. But if her buddy is actually female, maybe it's actually Mom's niece. That would really go a long way toward explaining the preferential biased treatment shown here. Anyway, that's for you and them. I'm having nothing more to do with them, and it's up to you if you want to be their proxy or not. If so, I'll just ignore you too.

As for Elizabeth, what's your beef with her? We should have a poll.

Okay everybody, voting time. Who would viewers prefer to see on future seasons of Survivor? Colton/Colton-type or Elizabeth/Elizabeth-type?

This?

Or this?

My personal preference would be perpetual returns of Parvati, but since that's not going to happen, an Elizabeth-type is my obvious choice. Or how about giving Sugar a conventional run, rather than keep shipping her off to the "shack"?

As far as anyone with a bias, I think you and I both know that you are the one with a certain bias, one you have shown many times but now seem to want to backtrack and hide. Anyhow, this is a Survivor thread so I'll stop particiipating in the derail.

That would be very wise. It was untrue when your friend said it, and it's untrue now. That's why I resent all these repeated attempts at spreading a lie. You may have been fooled by "her" lie, made in full troll mode, or you may be trying to add to it yourself, I really don't know, but whatever your motivation it's beyond time to drop it. If we can stick to talking about Survivor then that would be very good.

As for tonight's show, yet more evidence that the latest cast would have been well suited to an SCTV episode of Nitwits, prime examples being Leif's face-down attempt at squeezing under the barrier, followed by larger teammates trying to fit through his small hole, and of course the epic failure that was tribal council. It was like nobody could open their mouth without making themself a candidate for the next elimination. Much like some RFD Off Topic threads actually. People really need to learn to think before launching attacks on others. Because karma can, and often does, come back to bite. :D

You're wrong.

Jeff Probst: I had no idea how ugly Colton was being at camp. I saw one display at Tribal Council when he talked about “I have a black friend, a housekeeper, who I pay.” I didn’t realize how aggressive he was in treating people and how poorly he treated people. Colton is one of the few people I can recall where the audience just has a true dislike for. He’s different from Russell (Hantz) who you just might love to hate.
Holmes: Think we’ll see Colton again?
Probst: Russell you bring back. Colton, I don’t think you do. I can’t imagine celebrating Colton and bringing him back. But, I could be wrong on that.

That Colton, and those like him (living trolls I mean) need to be kept well away from the rest of society, so they can't spread their hate and intolerance. Despite his terrible choice of underwear, he obviously has a higher IQ than the entire cast combined. He got the diagnosis of Colton's (boo, hiss) symptoms correct (matched the on-site medical team anyway) - did he help create the problem? :D He seems to recognise the recipients of bad boob jobs. And most intelligent of all, for a plastic surgeon, he seems to be happy not having any cosmetic surgery done on himself. You see other similar doctors on TV regularly, with plastic/waxy-looking faces, and have to wonder why anybody, short of suffering a severe facial injury, would have that done to themselves. But even he has a severe case of nitwititis, drawing attention toward himself and potentially making himself a target. He's unlikely to win, but he'll likely be the only one remembered in anything but a negative way once this season's finally done.

Poor Kat though. She's obviously thick, but the producers/editors seem to be going all Colton themselves and emphasising her ignorance, intentionally embarrassing her. This week's snippet: "I couldn't solve that", or something to that effect. Leave the poor kid alone. Let her be voted off and forgotten, just like the rest of the remainders. The contestants working on the puzzle all ran into problems themselves, she was just honest enough to admit her limitations. She's still only young. Eventually she'll smarten up.

At this point, I'd be shocked if Kim doesn't win the season.

She has the numbers in the main alliance and a dominant 3-person alliance inside that one. She has an idol and all the editing thus far is playing up how good of a strategist she is without pissing anyone off (yet). At least according to what we're seeing, she is playing the perfect game.

That's it I can't watch anymore. These guys are an affront to the Male gender. I love how they edited the last teaser hinting that the men were formulating a strategy to fight back, when in reality they didn't even coordinate their votes this episode. I guess this is to be expected since the men all decided to vote off one of their own after winning a challenge, none of them have any brains or fortitude.

I've been reading this thread on and off and agree with all the comments.

Wow, are the men completely useless or what!? Unfortunately, the only "male" with any hint of how to play the game was that a**hole Colton and once he left the girls got full control.

Jay has got to be one of the dumbest players ever, or at least he is edited to look that way. He finds out that Troy is going to play the idol so he tells Kim, why!?..... only he knows, and she's able to switch the majority of the votes to Jay so the idol becomes useless and Jay's voted off anyway. Jay gets himself voted off..... Awesome!

Troy had a plan, he just has no power to execute it. All he had to do was get Tarzan, Jay and Lief to vote Kim and with the girls split vote between Troy and Jay, Kim would have been gone with her idol.

I'm actually happy the girls have made a come back as I'd much rather watch a bunch of women in bikinis compete on the show then a bunch of men. From the looks of it all the girls will be around for at least 3 more shows.

I think the only question remaining is which three of the 6 girls will make it to the end.

Hadn't forgotten, I view that as Colton's way of showing the other guys he was in control of the game. Had he not gotten "sick" and left the game Christine would have gone next which if the merge was shortly after that the guys would have out numbered the girls and Colton had enough mindless followers that they would have kicked off the girls one by one, Colton possibly leaving Alicia to the end but there is no way a girl would be left standing in the final 3, just like now there no be no guy standing in the final 3. Who would take the risk of having all the guys on the jury vote for the one final guy left standing"? No one![/QUOTE]

The guys have played the game very poorly. At the point where it was tied between the guys and the girls. Why would you want to get rid of a guy? Jay was the idiot this week, but Troyzan was last week. You can't really trust a tribe you were only part of for a short time. Wouldn't you want to hedge your bets in case you were being played. It occured to him this week but not last week when it could of made a difference. They basically told the girls they wanted to vote out one of their own. The girls didn't even have to come up with an excuse to vote out a guy, they recieved it on a silver platter.

I don't think any of the guys deserve to win. That being said who is going to be the last guy standing, and can he hang in long enough for the 6 women to turn on each other when they realize they have to start voting off each other.

I thought Tarzan was part of the men's alliance?? He cast the deciding Jay vote!

It's so ridiculous I can't believe how badly these guys are playing the game.

IMHO Jay has to be one of the stupidest players I have ever seen in Survivor. Asking people directly if they are going to blindside you isn't really a great strategy.

I agree I am finding this season EXTREMELY predictable. 5 or 10 minutes into each episode im thinking yeah....<insert name> is going home. Now lets watch the producers try to spin things around and make it seem like that might not happen...but this season it always does.

Which is why I want Tarzan to win. There are already 5 guys on the jury. If they all decided to vote Tarzan, then it's game over for any of the women left at the end, as they would probably split any of the women's vote from the jury. And it would be a very entertaining way to end the season. We've had enough useless women win survivor, now it's time for old Poopy Pants to win.

This season is too predictable, and too many of the players are dull, lifeless, and willing to sit back and let someone else control their fate in the game. Here's to hoping something gets shaken up next week. So far, this is one of the least interesting seasons of survivor that I can remember.

I can't believe all the women (except Christina) think they're safe. They'res about 6 of them right? We're down to the last guy now. This means we've hit the predictable part of survivor where people finally realize they aren't at the top of the food chain. Which means they'll turn on each other and Tarzan might stay around for a while.

Could Tarzan win the game? I don't think he could if he was sitting next to Kim. The guys haven't been united on anything this season, so I can't see a uniform vote for tarzan. It would be pretty funny though if it did happen.

Pretty boring season of Survivor though. No one really seems to be playing or have a clue.

I agree that it is looking like a slam dunk victory for Kim, but there's always the risk that the jury will be angry and vindictive and give the million to a less deserving finalist. That's what happened to Coach last season when he lost to Sophie who basically rode his coat-tails the entire time. It could be argued that the same thing also happened to Russell Hantz both times he reached the finale. Considering the jury will be primarily made up of some of the dumbest guys to ever play the game, I'm not convinced that Kim is going to walk away with the win. I'm terrified that Alicia will get to the end and somehow become the most undeserving winner of the million ever...

Just when I thought this season couldn't get any worse, you plant that idea in my head. Holy crap would that really suck!

How about this one: There are 5 guys on the jury. If Tarzan gets to the end, and the guys want to "return the favour" to the women. They could all vote for him to win. Now, THAT would partially redeem the season in my eyes.

I'm pretty confident that Chelsea isn't the only one who's had a boob job, I'd wager Christina and even possible Alicia has as well. Both of them have lost a lot of weight since the beginning but fortunately their breasts haven't gotten any smaller.

Definitely not the best season but not the worst either. Personally I much preferred seeing the women oil themselves up in the reward challenge then watching 6 guys and 2 girls. If girls hadn't been so useless in the beginning I think we all wouldn't be so determined to see them fail.

Personally, after all the beat downs and emotion BS Christina has had to deal with this season I think she should get the million so she can pay for her therapy afterwards. ;)

Yup. Nice editing. They have Kat talking about how fun and exciting it is for people to get blindsided. Then she gets blindsided.. lol....

Not that Troyzan was a great player or anything, but the fact that the bottom feeders completely ignored his advice, and couldn't accept they were at the bottom.... its sad. It happens too often in Survivor where there is a 6 person(ish) alliance and everyone thinks they won't get the boot.

I am curious to how far Tarzan will get. The guy doesn't appear to be a threat. Occastionally he says something smart. You know its going to get ugly when the alliance has to start voting off their own. If you're form the other alliance and you're the last one standing, you can stay in just long enough, for the other tribe to get the spark where they know they have to vote off their own.

Still not a great season. Kim probably deserves the win, but it would be entertaining to see someone else win it just to see her expression.. lol

Holy crap. My face literally hurts from cringing at all of Kat's idiotic and clueless decisions and comments in tonight's episode. What a useless, uneducated moron.

First of all, the way she acted when her cousin came out was so dumb it made me laugh and cringe at the same time. And then when she won and started dancing and talking about getting drunk I was yelling at my TV for Christina's dying father to walk over and knock her out. The tantrum she threw when she lost the immunity challenge and the idiotic answers she gave at Tribal Council truly exposed her as one of the dumbest players to ever appear on Survivor. Her comments about blind sides being funny and exciting were just icing on the cake for me. I can't wait to see her ask the jury questions in a couple of weeks.

This game seriously needs a makeover. They've played the whole desert-island-conclave thing through just about every feasible variation now. And frankly, the producers have gone way too soft on the actual survival aspect of things, with endless food rewards and no real physical threats. When the worst thing that can happen to you is that you get appendicitis and have to get medivac'ed out, it's just not convincing to call it "Survivor" any more.

I'd love to see the contestants competing and surviving someplace like an abandoned neighbourhood in Detroit. Leave them there for 39 days without food, shelter, or weapons and see how things shake out.

I don't mind the locations although I do wish they would vary it up more often. Those non-tropical island locations like Africa, China or Australia... let's go back to something like that. I agree about the food and all that. When they leave them, they should only give them a machete, a pot and some rice. That's it.

I agree with you the entire "survivor" aspect of the game has gone, it's become a totally social game because of the ridiculous rewards and hand outs. This makes it so easy to vote out actual contributing members of the tribe because there's no danger of not having food, etc. I think they should toughen up the game once again, no more going to camp with a truckload of gear each tribe should literally start off with the clothes on there back, flint, a knife, maybe a bottle of water and a few granola bars so they can survive till the first immunity challenge. Then for rewards they should give out things like axes, fishing gear, etc not elaborate feasts and disney vacations. And no giving the losing tribe matches and crap after three days. Also to mix things up they should think about starting the game with everyone having a hidden immunity idol that's only good till the merge. That way it won't always be vote the person that doesn't fit in out first, everyone will have a chance to stay an extra 3 days if they want to use the idol that early and there will be more variables involved at tribal council instead of whoever has the biggest alliance at the start picking off whoever they want. You'd have to worry about drawing out idols of people you want out or blind siding them. You'd also have to think about spreading your votes because if there's a tie vote (because someone plays the idol or two people play the idol) then its drawing sticks to determine who goes home. It'll totally change the way the game is played now because it almost seems with the current rule set every season plays out the same strategy wise. Lastly they need more Chelsea and extreme close up of her crotch area  I don't mind that gap :D

Boring episode. It was obvious that Tarzan was going home as soon as they showed Alicia and Kim talking on the beach and disclosing to each other that Tarzan had promised both of them the same thing.

I'm still completely confused about Christina's gameplay. She seems to have aligned herself with Alicia in spite of the fact that Alicia was ridiculously rude to her when she paired up with Colton. I know Christina has no real allies on the show right now, but it still boggles my mind that she is looking to Alicia to be her friend...

I also don't understand why people who get voted out don't go out with guns blazing. As he was walking out, Tarzan should have told Chelsea that Alicia, Christina and Kim were going to gang up on her and vote her out next. He should have told Sabrina that everyone wants to take her to the finale because they think she's useless. That would have been an awesome way to go out, and would have created a ton of tension back at camp for the last few days! Instead, he thanks them for the adventure and allowing him to see his wife. What an idiot.

I've found this season to be so boring - I'm not even sure if I care who wins. None of the ladies left really impress me.

I will admit that Kim's probably played the best game of everyone left but I don't particularly like her. I feel more like she was the heir to a bunch of stupid people (more men, but collective total as well) and played "well" instead of "amazing". I think she just oversaw people's self destruction through stupidity rather than being a puppet master.

If she makes it to the vote I suspect the only way she loses is if people are bitter.

I suppose Chelsea played a little more "innocent" and could win the vote if taken.

As silly as he came off sometimes, I think Tarzan has some moments of Zen - how awesome was his comment about people who are voted off are not introspective enough to realize they've been outplayed rather than simply voted off. I have a feeling he'll vote for the best player (in his mind) at the vote rather than who had a hand in voting him out. (Then again, earlier in the season he went apeshit over trust).

Not a single one has impressed me, from the start. In fact a few completely repulsed me. The stupidity of the "contestants" is beyond belief. Why the heck haven't they at least TRIED to vote off Kim yet? They keep going on about her eyes, but I thought Kat's eyes were far more interesting (though you could only see confusion behind them), and Chelsea is much better looking. At this point I want to see Chelsea win, despite her fakies. But most of all, I just want to see this season over.

I'm not sure what Tarzan was up to last night with his loonie act and his telling the guys that he voted them off. I can only assume he was aiming for 2nd place, hoping he'd be taken to the end as a guaranteed non-winner.

If they bring back colton...i am DONE with this show!

I'll still watch, but might stop depending how long he lasts.

Jeff asked the crowed if they loved to hate Colton the same way as they love to hate Russell. It got a pretty resounding no. Jeff seemed to realize this too. The only guy that didn't was the random guy Jeff tried to ask.

Surely the survivor producers realize Colton is someone poeple really don't want to watch. But that setup at the end. Players who where medivacced. It seems like it was a specific reason to being Colton back. Survivor producers not getting the audience again.

As for the winner. (spoilers).

Kim did deserve to win. She was the only one playing. It was pretty bad how little anyone else played the game. Kim seemed to address all aspects and put in genuine thought to how she treated people and who would vote for her and what not. Sometimes that lack of gameplay costs really good players the win.

She'll get lost in the survivor either. She beat really bad players. Nothing exceptional about the season.

I love this game. I've always seen it as a game. Coming into it I thought I saw it as poker and you do everything you can do to sit here at the end of this game. And so that's where my head was. Walking into this I thought no rules. I'm going to come in and I'm going to play as hard as I possibly can. That's all I know to do. I strategized until I was blue in the face. And I'm proud of the way that I played it strategically. I don't know how I could've done it any better. Every time I sent one of you home, that took a toll on me and thats been really, really hard. But every time I was tempted to make a decision within this game, I thought of my family back home. And the things that you wanted to provide them with and the things that you wanted to do with the money to change their lives. And how I've known you all for 20 or 30 days, but how they've been pouring themselves into me for years and years. And so I hope that you all can forgive me. I hope that you all can see it as a game. Because that's how I came into it. I can't even say I would take it back, because my end goal was to sit here and I'm sitting here to tonight.*

In my opinion, Kim's opening statement to the jury :arrowu: was one of the best I've ever seen... She recognized that she was the ringleader and the one who was responsible for putting every single person on the jury, so she went out there and made it clear that she did it in the spirit of the game. This is the kind of jury statement that strong leaders need to make to win over the jury and convince them to vote for the best player.

Russell needed to make that sort of statement both times he got to the end. Coach should have made that type of a statement last season. Heck even Boston Rob needed a statement like that in the season he ran the entire game but then lost to Amber because the jury was bitter.

On top of that, Kim's answers to the jury questions were very good and it totally helped her that both Chelsea and Sabrina gave some pretty bone-headed responses. It actually looked like Chelsea was telling them to support Kim instead of voting for her!

I have to say that both Tarzan and Kat's statements were shockingly good and that Alicia's speech where she patted herself on the back was painful to see, especially since it seems that everyone there disagreed with her.

So Troyzan and Leif were the two idiots who voted for Sabrina, further solidifying Leif's title as the most clueless player ever. I mean did Leif ever vote with the majority this entire season?

As for next season's theme of returning med-evac'ed players, I think it's pretty obvious that they'll bring back Russell Swan, but I'm not sure about the other two people. They showed a close up of Michael Skupin from Survivor's second season (he was the first ever contestant to get med-evac'ed) and they focused on Jonathan Penner who was med-evac'ed from Fans vs. Favorites... Either way, I'll be watching next season as I've been to the Philippines and actually spent a day on the island where a few other international versions of Survivor had been filmed. My guess is that the US version will go to the same island, so it'll be cool to see it on TV!

I'm just glad the best player won. Hands down nobody deserved to win more than her.

I hate the editing they do on this show to make the competitions look closer than they are. For example, in the last challenge. They kept cutting away to Kim's stack that was stacked on an angle and ready to tip, but when you see her put another piece on, it's perfectly stacked. They added in fake footage to make it seem like she might lose.

+1 on hating the fake footage.

A few years back, I read a post on another forum that was supposedly made by a former Survivor contestant. He said that when a challenge was a blowout victory for one player, they spliced in footage from their "Dream Team" challenge testers to make it seem closer. He said they even had Jeff record new voiceovers talking about how close the challenge was, because his original comments were statements like "this one's not even close", and "John is going to win this challenge even if I go blindfold him right now"...

I remember catching this fake footage a couple of season ago where the contestants had to do a puzzle, and they made it look like a close race between 2 people and kept showing close ups of their hands furiously working the puzzle pieces. Then I realized that one of the contestants was wearing a grubby yellow friendship bracelet on her left wrist, which was not visible in the close up footage of her hands working the puzzle. I was pretty upset when I noticed that...

I don't think there's anything Russell could of done to sway the jury both times he made it to the end. Kim played way more of a social game, and thought very deeply about how her decisions would impact the jury.

Rusell had no concert about the jury. He played to get to F3. I really enjoyed watching him play, but he was so paranoid. He kept making deals with the other alliance, getting them onboard, then voting with his own alliance. He kept poking in needles where they didn't need to be poked. Some people say Russell is one of the best to play the game, but he completely underestimate the social aspect of the game. By the time he got to the f3 I don't think he could of said anything to save the sinking ship.

Kim was pretty rational. I think it it played well to take her own alliance to the end. The people she could of f'd over the most didn't get f'd over. She rubbed Troy the wrong way, but other then that she kept it cordial with most everyone else.

I'm not saying I think Kim is a better play. She beat a bunch of idiots. It's just that Russell style of gameplay completely ignored a huge facet of the game. The people you vote still have to vote you the million. Don't make them haters.. lol.

I'm not sure that everybody plays for the $1M grand prize anymore. There are lots of millionaires finding their way onto the show these days, including Russell and Tarzan, and for them it's more of a personal challenge, a pastime, or a publicity stunt. It's a shame really, because the show is a lot better when it's everyday people who really, really want that million dollars to inprove their, and their family's, lifestyle.

That was one of the most boring series of Survivor. I am glad it is over. Kim deserved to win, but only because she played a game with a bunch of imbeciles. Troyzan was the only other player who ever had a shot and he was left out in the cold because the rest of the guys were morons. And, I would absolutely HATE to see Colton come back again. It is very likely that they cast Colton before realizing how much the public hated him, and the reunion show was some kind of attempt to get the public to change the way they feel about him. I would love to see Russel Swan and Michael Skupin back on the show, though.

I only watched the last 5 eps, but from what I saw I wanted Chelsea to win.
She looks better and was a better player overall. I even think she gave up immunity challenges at times when she saw that Kim was winning.

What was that mess that Alicia was talking during the final Jury about being Puerto Rican and how she would have won had she been sitting there?

I still hate colton and thing he is a bigot, Russel is still 100X's more villianous then he is and had a better game. Let hope Russ comes back for 1 more game.

Weird. I always find the girls overdo it on the makeup at the reunion show. I personally think they look best when they get voted out and then come back as a jury member to observe tribal council. I think it's because they have limited choices of makeup on the island at Ponderosa, so there's less of a possibility that the makeup will be overdone.

I was really hoping that Chelsea would get voted out so we'd get to see her sit with the jury without a ton of makeup caked on her face. She didn't look terrible at the reunion show, but I was still slightly disappointed.

Apparently Russell now hosts some real estate flipping show. (Didn't they all die rapid deaths when the mortgage bubble burst?). So I don't think he'll be back.

The only reason to bring Colton back would be to burn him in effigy on Bonfire Night, were they to reinstitute it across North America. He's a hateful and hated waste of space.

Alicia is likewise. Had it not been for Colton being such an ***** , Alicia would have been the most hated one instead. Like Colton, she thought she was special, despite being far from it.

As for this season, it's the first time I watched a different channel during the finale and reunion. Survivor just wasn't worth my time. I didn't even bother recording it to watch later. No surprise that Kim won, though I was hoping Chelsea would somehow pull it off.

So, what are they planning for next time? Yet another sunny island? I'd like to see them base it in an isolated, scenic region of Labrador for a change, or perhaps some mosquito-infested swamp in Northern Manitoba (especially if they ever do bring that bugger Colton back). Or maybe a forgotten valley in Afghanistan. If they go with another island, with girls in bikinis, at least do without the censor-smoke in future. Otherwise the bikinis are pointless. They may as well play in tracksuits. Or burkhas.

BTW, just noticed your post again. Colton didn't feature in the final 5 episodes did he, so how do you know you hate him? Has the hatred spread beyond the actual viewership now?

Christina and Chelsea are beautiful women.

- Christina was one of the very few women that managed to get hotter as the show went on. Unfortunately she was also one of the worst players on Survivor I've ever seen.

- Kim was the most obvious winner since the season that Tom ran through with ease. When you win that easily, it is definitely deserved.

I just watched the reunion but the thing I don't get is, how come people/characters act differently in person vs. on the show? I highly doubt it's strategy (?)

What makes them act a certain way on the show..?

Agreed...Christina was gorgeous when she arrived, but just got better as the show went on. I think she got off to a bad start (through no fault of her own) by getting on the wrong side of Alicia.

In most cases it's their real side that comes out in the show. After seeing themselves publicly outed as jerks they try to act classier at the reunion. Though I skipped this season's reunion so I'll always remember them as useless jerks.

If she (and others) would have had a backbone they could have got rid of useless hateful trash like Alicia and Colton right at the start. The fact that they allowed both to not only survive but to actually thrive shows how useless this lot were. Time to consign this lousy season to the trashcan of history, forget these contestants, and move on. Next season can't possibly be worse. Can it?

Unfortunately it looks like the next 2 seasons will both be bringing back previous contestants in some form. I think the only one of these seasons that I didn't hate was Fans vs Favourites. I just hope they never do another season with a redemption island.
