Wondering if any of you can recommend a good place to get nice, but affordable, frames in the downtown Toronto area?

If not downtown, I would suggest Ikea, since they still have their 50% off picture frame. Winners/Homesense might be a good source for cheap frame but YMMV as each store carries different stock each week.

Check the Micheal's flyers for coupons. You can get some great looking frames with mattes, at very reasonable prices.

Same deal at Curry's (https://www.currys.com/). They put their frames on sale quite often.

Thanks! I actually totally forgot Michael's had a pretty decently sized frame section in their stores!

If you want something ready to go and relatively cheap try Victory Gallery on Queen West

I find the ones at Michael's pretty poor, even the more expensive stock frames.

Their custom frames are nice, but pricey, even with a coupon.

Dropped into Victory to check it out. They have a great range of well made frames but they are not cheap, IMHO. I think that Ikea is the cheapest while Michaels and Curries on sale are great deals.

Actually, for basic frames you can get decent frames at Walmart.

Ie 8x10 for $6.

extreme YMMV, but check to see if your company has signed up for a "work perks" deal with Henrys.

Many employers do, and every frame that Henrys sells is permanently 50% off for me.

Even after their often 50% to 60% off? I have found they are much cheaper than custom made ones from picture framing stores.
