Hello everyone,
My 5-month old son was been wheezing, coughing & fever on & off for 2 weeks, in & out family doctor office several times but my family doctor could not find out why and i also brought him to ER but they said that my son just had a bad cold. He is still wheezing now. I am afraid he will develop asthma or bronchitis but i am not aware of. I am looking for a pediatrician who still accepts new patient. I really appreciate if anyone can give me the phone number. Thanks very much

these are pediatricians that were accepting new patients a year ago, as I was looking for my young child. I am not sure if they are still accepting or much about them, I suppose you can look them up on ratemds . these are all located around trillium I assume.

If it's just for one or two visits, you'll have more options than just the pediatricians that are "accepting new patients". (But it sounds like a relatively urgent issue, so I'm not sure how much luck you'll have with that option.)
If you want to switch doctors for your son, then yes you would be limited to those that are accepting new patients.

There's always walk-in clinics with a pediatrician attending to patients. Don't remember any off the top of my head but try calling a few walk-ins?

Thanks everyone.
I phoned all the peds given above and only Dr. Patel accepts new patients (but his rating is totally "down", according to MD ratings) & his appt not until end of Jan/12. Dr. Lester & Strachan only accept newborn, the rest refused, or only accept referral from family doctor. I will try the pediatric walk-in.

I am not sure where you're located in Miss/Brampton; but there is a walk-in pediatric clinic inside Erin Mills Town Centre. If you look up their website you should be able to find the numbers for it. Good luck!

I know he accepts newborn only. That said, I would *NOT* recommend him with a ten foot pole. We've since, thankfully, managed to switch pediatricians.
