i failed volume2 at 58% a few months ago, -_- now they changed the contexts and exams. some says its harder than before.
Did anyone take that exam and wanna share some experience? is it really harder?

OP, when did you take it? I took both volumes 1 and 2 in the summer (between July-August) so i'm not sure if I'm one of the ones who took the "new" CSC exam.
Personally, I found my exams to be pretty simple. I read through the book, did the online modules and went in to write it. I don't think there was any math involved in the second volume, mostly memorization.
Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do fine. I doubt it could be that much different/that much harder.

Thx, maybe its because im not very interested in those materials so i found it pretty hard to read. After all, fail at 58 is pretty frustrating.

I know a friend who just passed both part 1/2 just a couple of weeks ago (he did part 1 in Nov). He used the 2009 edition so I think the material should be pretty much the same from before. I haven't written the test personally so I can't speak from experience :(

I'm going to take the CSC Vol 1 Exam next week. Been studying like a mofo for the last three weeks. Purchased the CSC check and been getting around 70-75%.
In the middle of my course, they implemented the changes for the new CSC. For Vol 1, the amount of material has actually went down. The only chapter with major changes is the accounting part due to IFRS from GAAP.
I'm a bit nervous about the exam. Has anyone taken it recently? I heard the questions are not in the order of how the material is presented. Is this true? Any other suggestions?

When I took it, the questions were not in the order that was presented in the textbook. The order in which they appear should be random.

Ok, thanks.
I was wondering if you could clarify one other thing. I talked to a friend who said when he completed his computer exam, he got marked 80%. The next day when he logged into his student profile, his mark was 72%.
That's a really big discrepancy. Did that happen to you?

My volume 1 exam is tomorrow, I only started studying last week . Wish me luck! I did the csc check exam online yesterday, got 77%. Is this indicative of the real thing at all?

Hey guys, I was about to register for the CSC course until someone told me that you have to rewrite it if you do not find related work experience in two years? Something to do with the licencing? I am planning to go the CFA route but wanted to get my CSC course just in case I decided not to go investment/corporate. Anyone know what I am talking about?

60% for pass
85% for honors
Don't think anyone really cares what you got as long as you pass. Highly doubt employers would look into it.
