me and my friends ate wings at wildwings today, it was heavily priced ($1 per wing, not including tax... was basically the cost) we ate around 30 wings each, so the total was around 35.
we just remembered about kelseys all u can eat wings but couldn't find it, we saw old ads january 2011, and january 2010, so we figured why wouldn't they continue the kelseys january anniversary.
anyone know if its happening soon/ this year?
or any place that has all you can eat wings under $30?
we would probably easily eat 40-50 wings if we could find a place that would make nice wings...i remember going to kelseys once for this and they took 15 minutes each time we ordered wings...it pretty much slowed the whole "all you can eat" process down...

for the most part, yes. when i go there, a lot of wings are cracked bones. some wings are crusty like theyve been refried and sauce flavours are limited

quality? nope
somewhat fun sports bar atmosphere? yup

not my first choice for wings but it's cheap if you are looking for all you can eat

EDIT: I see your budget is less than $30... you could just go to the Wheat Sheaf at king and bathurst. Half price with a purchase of a drink on sunday and monday i think?? 50 wings are like $35 regular price so half that. Their wings are big too so I think it would be a good idea to split the 50 with another person.

Cons are they do refry their wings as well sometimes but I've never had a problem asking for fresh ones.

I haven't been to Hooters in a few years, but IIRC their wings were terrible.
Kelseys isn't bad, but their AYCE weren't that great compared to their "regular menu" wings.

Same size as the wings on the chicken-to-go over at RCSS, but drier. You have to be damned determined to eat more than 12 wings to be honest, and only if you got a grudge against Kelseys.

At bravo/ superstar wings on hwy 7 and east beaver creek, they have ayce wings and ribs for about $23 I think. They have about 100 flavors and much better than Kelsey's wings!

Last time I went they tasted average...not bad but they weren't super wings...just stay away from barbeque and you should be fine...

Before they used to have it from Sunday to Wednesday but that sign isn't there anymore and they advertise it on their menu now as well. I think it's safe to say that it is everyday.

In all honesty, the wings are huge and the flavors aren't bad at all. Ayce wings AND ribs. Pretty good deal to me =D

Kelsey's wings are terrible.

Shoeless Joe's on Courtneypark and Hurontario has half price wings on Tuesdays. $5 for 1 lb (10 - 12 big wings)

Flavours are good and so are the wings.

I was at Queen & the 410 location. Maybe you were at 10 & Bovaird ?

I definitely saw no mention of it anywhere and deliberately looked because I read this thread earlier in the week... Weird

Went to bravo superstar wings this weekend for all you can eat, I DO NOT recommend it.

First of all the waiter was tacky, she obviously didn't want to be there. Apparently you cant order "all you can eat" unless EVERYONE at the table orders it...im assuming they're scared of people sharing. None the less we all paid for it since thats what we went for. We asked for 2 racks of ribs to start off, THEY WERE 80% fat and 20& meat, all over cooks and has NO flavour. It was like eating yogurt but it was fat.

So we just threw that in the "wings bone bin". So we ordered a bunch of wings, they were OKAY, half of them were really weird flavour but I cant blame them for that since we picked it, they messed up one order and gave us a hot bbq (it was 5 stars on the "hot level") and we ate those burning our throats...but im not one to complain about that.

So to top it off, they told us we are only aloud to order 5 WINGS AT A TIME PER PERSON... WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? They took around 10 minutes to cook, so that means it would take us 10 minutes to get 5 wings and that was supossed to be our dinner. Not only that, we ordered 20 wings (we had 4 people) and it literally took them 30 minutes to get it to us since they were busy with other orders but thats no excuse to make 20 wings in 30 minutes.

To end the story off, the waiter gave us attitude when we asked to split the bill, no need to say there was no tip in the check, will never go there for all you can eat again.

I went there before for a dinner where we paid for wings, they were 100x better. They definitely cheaped out on the all you can eat or they changed management. The wings were NOT big, they were very small filled with breaded skin + sauce, very little meat.
They don't let you change it to unbreaded wings and they charge $2 per beverage (icetea, coke, etc.) which is a bit ridiculous of the service and them charging $25 (including tax) for that kind of service/food.

Just buy the wings, it'll be cheaper in the long run, I think its $80 for 100 wings if I am not mistaken.

Just saying you guys are better paying a bit more upfront for wings. It makes a huge difference.
The Kelsey's wings literally made my husband sick. They were totally gross. Not tender.

I am aware this is RFD, but would far sooner pay for Wild Wing (which we had last night as they opened a new location right near our house).

All Kelseys resturants have to have the same deals . Cara the operation and ower of the Kelseys name requires it even for franchieses
Half Price wings is on thursdays 4.99 for 8 wings , 9.99 for 16 wings ( you can get half and half flavours demand it if you have to , and if they try to charge you for it , complain)
All you can eat is on Sundays 18.99 ( its 10 wings for first order and 6 for each refill)

Wings on those days are usually pre-blanced meaning they have been floured and half cooked , makes the wings not as tasty on those days , and because wings don't sell well the rest of the week , you'll find the best time to get wings is on Friday night or Monday night once they run out of all the older wings in the store during the busy wing nights.

The flavour choices are alright , ranging from mild, medium , hot , 3 different bbq sauces , korean bbq( its kinda a sweet not so bbq suace) , spicy thai , salt/pepper, lemon pepper , hot striped ranch, hot and honey , golden buffulo, and cajun ( you can get other flavours too so long as you know what your asking for , example being you can get the wings mixed with any of the sauces they have)

I rate the wings about a 7/10 depending on store.
Some places i would give a 4 others i would give a 8 , where i live there are two kelseys within about 15 minutes of each other , both are owned by the same person but the one stores wings are a 5 and the other are 7 or 8.

$10 for 16 at 1/2 price?
Who the hell pays a buck a wing? Raw wings are $3 and junk per lb, and there's about 10-12 per pound depending on sizing.

Now... all you can eat isn't bad assuming you can eat more than 40 wings roughly (adjusted for labor and sauces).
Crap thing is the 10/6 refill. Last time I had all you can eat there it took like 20 minutes per refill. No idea how it took that long since it only takes me 10 minutes in a fryer to cook wings. Assuming that, you're looking at 5x20 minutes + initial ordering time (let's say 20) putting you at 2 hours.

For folks in the GTA, would suggest people check out Mill Street Brew Pub on Tuesday nights.

Not AYCE, but half-price wings on Tuesdays. Decent sauce selection (not Wild Wing style, but still decent) but their sauces are good, and the wings are large/meaty. Plus the option to sit on the patio in the summer in the distillery district is great.

You have to look at this from a resturants point of view.
half price wings still have to make money , Cara makes each store purchase supplys for the cara supplied suppliers, aka Summit . Summit charges approx 50 cents a wing , and 55 cents per drum , and has in some cases stopped mixing the wing/drum together to make sure the prices are correct. (Each box has 4 bags , 2 of wing , 2 of drum , othertimes the bags are mixed 50/50. )
Each wing costs another 25 cents to make and prepare after that point. Costs are reduced by pre-blancing , and doing cooking in larger numbers. Most places don't have wings since its hard to make money off them. Kelseys gets wings from Brazil , just to give you an idea of how much it costs to get locally.

As for cooking depends on the place , it takes anywhere from 10-12 minutes to cook the wings , however each kelseys is created the same and has 4 fryers each with 2 baskets. Each basket can hold 32 wings (as suggested by cara).
Giving a total of 256 wings that can be cooked maximum. However 2 baskets are almost always left for frys and chicken strips and if you want a spinach dip the tort shells are fried or baked( mostly fried).
Reality being most places can cook in 2 fryers giving a total of 128 wings that can be cooked at a time.
Having worked on half price wing night many times i can attest that groups of 10 -15 people regularly come in and each person orders 16 wings. 15x16=240 wings at once. Meaning fryers are full up at that point just for one group. Any other group has now been forced to wait 25 minutes for wings for that point on. There has been times when people have gotten waits up to an hour for wings. (Most thursday nights going through 200 pounds of wings in 1 hours , each pound holds 10 wings, so 2000 wings in an hour roughly)
Cooking time broken down to 10 minutes means its impossible to cook all those wings in a timely manner. (would take 3.3 hours to cook all those wings at minimum times) Pre-blanced happens to remove about 5 minutes of that time , so (1.5 hours to cook wings) still not good.

Reality being , don't eat at kelseys for wings.. they are alright. Not great. Wild wings down the street from the kelseys where i live charges the same per wing as kelseys on half price night , has more flavours and the wings are about the same.
Other local place has 50 cent wings on wednesday. Look around and you'll find a dozen places that are better.

I put more than 32 wings into my 10L fryer at home and my production time for 8-10 counts are about 10 minutes.
Granted it's not much more, but my entire fryer can damn near fit into a single basket.

Also it costs me less than $0.50 per wing (adjusted for sauces / oil but not labor) to produce a wing.
You're telling me that Kelseys (or Cara) can't supply a wing for less than that?
Hell... I can buy them at the retail level for about $0.32 per wing. I'd have to check my pricing on 8-10 counts since I only buy 6-8 counts wholesale and they're slightly more per pound.

wings are getting pretty expensive at the wholesale level i heard.
in the US, currently wholesale price of wings is higher than chicken breast, hence the introduction of 'boneless wings'.

In the US last time I looked, Wings and Breasts were about the same price, give or take $1/lb depending on quality, sizing, brand, injected, etc.

Natural Breasts were I think $2.50-3.00/lb and 8-10 Wings were about the same price.
