[NCIX] Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 Ti Gc 835MHZ 1GB @ NCIX.CA for $194.99 or $159.99 with MIR

Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 Ti Gc 835MHZ 1GB 4GHZ DDR5 2xDVI 1x Mini-HDMI PCI-E Video Card

NCIX has this card on sale with $35 MIR. $159.99 is not a bad price for a GTX 560 Ti

They also have a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti Fermi 900MHZ 1GB on sale for $224.99 that is $199.99 after MIR. I have this card and would recommend it. Runs cool and stable. PMd @ ME it comes to $216.24 - $25MIR = $191.24 (ME only has 6 left in an online store though)

There are a couple of more GTX 560 Ti on sale @ NCIX but the above two are a better price/quality imo.

$195 + tax = $220 - Rebate = $185 out of pocket expense.

Not a bad deal but not a great one. But if you're in not a rush and your current card can last you a tad longer, I'd legitimately wait for the 7000 series from AMD or 600 from nVidia. The HD7000 series is expected to release mid-February and the 600 not long after. They're reporting massive gains over this generation so it might be worthwhile to wait.

If the current 7970 and 7950 is any indication of AMD's product placement, with the $450 7950 shaking hands with the GTX 580, the 7870 will likely be $350 and on par with the gtx 570, $299 7850 with the gtx 560ti..... these are just my assumptions though.

IMO the 560Ti is a decent deal at $185. The 560 at $150 is good too. If the rumours are true and the 7870 is just an updated 6970 then don't expect anything shocking out of the 7800 series.

Both are great deals, and I agree with Licoln that the 7850/7870 (March releases) are not going to change the price landscape very much. It won't be until Nvidia releases some Kepler based products (who knows, could be March) that we see some downward pressure on prices. AMD has chosen (wisely so, from a financial perspective) to price the 7950/7970 against the GTX580 (the top single card competition), rather than push prices down.
