Scammed by "Thanatopsis" Said Tablets were Dual Core they aren't!!

He changed it. It said ARM11 (Dual Core) beforehand. Which is why I bought these Tablets in the first place.

I get them home and find out they are 1ghz InfoTMIC CPU's which are crap. Not even an 800mhz ARM11 like his changed ad states. It's a 1ghz Arm6. Useless to me. The tablets are NOT what I bought and this guy is refusing me a refund now saying "They are as I advertised".

They aren't. See the thing is. This guy doesn't know a thing about ARM CPU's. Trump card for me.

You incorrectly advertised the product, resulting in me getting something I did not want. Futhermore I sent him the correct information on the tablet (it's an m799a 2.2) and he refuses to put that up in his ad. So technically he is currently scamming in the ad he as active as it is....

I sold it to him explaining that I'm selling exactly what I bought on that man's website when his tablets where on sale with dealathon. I didn't need them and if the processor doesn't match what it says on their website take it up with Nigel (Owner of my williamjones/ "gpad" )

You didnt ask me if I wanted to buy it once while we met up.... I said "Lets go into this Subway so I can see that they power on" I did that and that was the end of it. Until I noticed a power adapter was missing, got that back from you, that was the end of it.

I will explain this as best I can, you obviously have a hard time grasping this situation.

Selling an item on RFD means you state the correct specs and what the item comes with etc. You didn't. It DOES NOT MATTER what the manufacturer said. The "Manufacturer" has listed incorrect specs, meaning you are now lying about what you sell. Do you not understand that? It's really not hard.

It is YOUR job to post the correct specs. Once again, you didn't. I as a consumer can only trust what you say, aside from opening the item on the spot and verifying the hardware.

Its not illegal to post anything you find on the internet that publicly accessible. Second if OP clearly states what his product is and is clear its not a Dual-Core it doesnt matter if he sold it for more.

What matters is a certain scammer LIED about the specs and sold something that didnt match the description.

Sure I'll get right on refunding something without receiving the product back. And could careless if I get the account back And the second account which I supposedly left feedback on was actually a sale with another friends account which was most likely banned because he logged in using my ip but regardless don't need to prove I sold my iphone to him and that's not the issue at hand and just fyi because I've only created two accounts. The original and one last night to message an admin. And it's not publicly accessible information last I checked. TBH. I have done a lot to them software wise. Before they wouldnt hold a charge for more than 1 hour. Fixed that. They had "China Telcom" as a carrier and the phone and phone dialer apk's were active draining the crap out of the battery. They were useless beforehand, who wants 1hr battery life?

They go for about 3 hours now. 24 in standby. They are useful devices now. I also doubt you bought these online. These are all over kiiji in your area. Take a look. Just type in 7" Android Tablet. They will all come up. I have a trump card now though, I fixed all the issues with these tablets. Now I can use that against everyone else that sells these crippled tablets.

If anyone is interested I will let them go for $110 each. I spent a lot of time on these making them viable tablets. So $10 is not much to ask. Lots of useful sotfware loaded onto it. Games as well. Has Grave Defense HD to name one. My favorite. ;)

It was an honest mistake because I listed as I was told didn't realize they were different since I never used them and didn't know how to check) . Now I had to call them cancel the dispute along with paypal. Now I need to call them for the third time to re enable the dispute for the charges with paypal and the credit card company and that's going to take some time. If he wants to sell them off in the mean time let him. He told me he sold them so now I gotta wait yet again for the dispute to go through with my credit card company and paypal.

Why is it so hard to be honest? If you just came out and said the truth I bet you could of worked something out that would of been good for both parties.

Facebook pictures or anything else you dont set to private are now public domain. Even if after you do set them to private afterwards it doesnt change what was released.

No matter what you texted him and said as long as you have them and they are in the same shape as before you should get your money back.

If you can, try to 411 and see if you can find his parents. It might be worth a call to let them know what he's doing. I once had a guy scam me, and a polite call to him mom (who was a really nice lady) had him calling me right back and returning the $500 he stole from me. :)

OP, Obviously you're pissed. But if you can call his parents, tell them the situation nicely -- I'm sure they'll make him do the right thing. ;) Tell them you don't want to file a claim with the cops, but you will since he is going around scamming people. I'm sure they won't want him ruining his future for $100..

If he does actually refund you, I wouldn't meet up with him. Get your refund, plus money for shipping and ship them back with a tracking on his dime. No way would I want to see this guy again if I was in your shoes.

If you just give up and sell these items, I don't blame you. I'm just glad you exposed this lamer.
