Does it only happen when MW3? Does it do the same thing playing a blu-ray?

Last time that was happening to me, I was having over-heating issues and caught them before it turned into a YLOD issue.

The freezing was happening on more than just MW3 though.

its not freezing more its going to black screen for couple seconds flicker back ont and then goes back to the game, i kinda hate it when i get killed in the middle of the stupid game and it happens 10 times during online play only nothing happens to me while playing solo. Could not be an over heating issue sinse the machine is in a huge space with no around it behind me tv corner fireplace

Is your Nat type open?

Put your PS3 in a DMZ.

Reset your router.

Every now and then when I play my sound goes all haywire. Its a loud buzz and thats it. I can still play but its so loud I freak and think its going to blast my speakers so I shut the PS3 off after. The normal TV stations work find and so does the game when I restart. Does not happen with anyt other game :S

That's happened to me a few times. It doesn't happen to anyone else I play with though.... glad to see I'm not the one going crazy.

its crazy so is this to do with our systems? we should email PlayStation on-line about this problem maybe there is a glitch in the online play...

Do you have the PS3 fat or slim? I have a PS3 fat and have never had any issues with it. And I've logged hundreds of hours of gameplay and movies. If you guys have slims, I'm wondering if it's an overheating issue.

I have a ps3 slim and didn't experience any of the problems you guys are having. Check for adequate cooling and if all else fails, reformat and reinstall.

It's happened to me at least a dozen times now. You guys can't hear it through my headset? I have surround sound too so it hurts my ears like a ***** whenever that happens.

Which headset are you guys using? I'm using the Sony PS3 bluetooth headset which seems to work fine for me.

I've had this conversation 2-3 times now:

Me: Whoa! Ow! What the heck is that buzzing?
Rizzo: What the hell are you talking about?
Me: The loud buzzing, you can't tell me you didn't hear it!
random person: I didn't hear anything.
Rizzo: You're crazy, man.

I use Turtlebeach P21, but it's not a headset issue. I hear the buzzing through my speakers too.

Through the TV speakers for me...I'm use th PS3 Headset as well, i don't think I've heard through them yet.

When i first heard it, I thought I busted my parents' tv, then i though it might have something to do with some kind of lag

Mine is both. But that's how mine is wired. The left and right speaker wires from the PS3 connect to my headset and then to my TV... plus the USB connection in the front. So I can control game volume and mic volume separately.

I guess that means it's coming through the game volume and not the mic.
