Hey All,

Just thought I should post this as a warning. I recently purchased this deal from Groupon Montreal:
http://www.groupon.ca/deals/montreal/meat-and-greet/3145402

Delivered Fresh Meat from Meat and Greet. Three Options Available.

Choose from the following options:

For $15, you get $30 worth of raw meat.
For $49, you get $100 worth of raw meat with delivery included.
For $89, you get $200 worth of raw meat with delivery included.

Meat and Greet's staff gathers fresh or frozen cuts of beef, pork, veal, and lamb at wholesale prices and delivers them to customers' doors. The delicacies originate from grass-fed or grain-fed animals raised in Quebec, and the meats contain no water, phosphates, hormones, or salt injections. Customers choose from a large variety of cuts such as rib steaks ($17.75/kg), whole chickens ($7.25/kg), lean ground beef ($7.25/kg), and halal options, all of which arrive on a weekly basis. Delivery takes place on the Island of Montreal from Thursday to Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Meat and Greet
Delivery Service, at its Finest
Company Website

Visited the website today and the prices of their products have increased considerably! Lean ground beef is now $21.00/kg, whole chickens is now $13.00/kg, rib steak is now $39.75/kg, etc.

Either the deal tipped to far for the company to make a profit or this is some fly-by-night operation similar to the "The Butchers" scam:

I've asked Groupon for a refund, hopefully I get one.

I suggest that you take a screen shot of the deal showing the original prices so that they can't change that on you, and claim you knew what you were getting into. This is clearly deceptive advertising.

Also suggest you get in touch with the Office de la Protection du Consommateur.

I complained on their facebook page and they replied the original price will be honored!

You better use your coupon asap. The company looks like a home business. Located in the middle of the Bois Franc neighbourhood.

Why are people letting themselves get "SHANKED" :D by these meat deals?

Can't you just go to the local grocer and pick up some meat?

#1) I do not trust these scam no-name meat businesses with my $15

#2) I would not eat anything from shady people!

To all you cheap degenerates who are claiming a company to be a scam should watch what they are writing on here.
I have been a customer with the butcher of this company for over 30 years and he is the one who supplies to many GROCERY STORES that you children purchase from. So before assuming and claiming that its a scam, do YOUR OWN RESEARCH! The prices may have gone up but if you aren't blind you should be able to read that "prices are subject to change"...and then again who said Groupon customers were the only ones part of this company? Did you ever think that maybe the prices didn't apply to you and to their regular customers ONLY ?!
I am so disgusted by these comments, I have written a message to the company regarding these false messages and hopefully you will all be removed from this site.
CHEAP DEGENERATE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO IN THEIR LIFE THAN COME ON A SITE AND TRY AND BRING DOWN A COMPANY WITHOUT DOING YOUR OWN RESEARCH!
And by the way, the meat is the best I've ever had, healthier than most grocery stores!
Good Luck!

Hi everyone!

Hey, where is this place??? Since the groupon deal, I've looked for meat and greet everywhere but this business seems not to be real.

Does anyone have some information?

Thanks
