What is it? Should we make a same thread about it or just bump the old thread?
I am confused

I don't get it either.
User bumps a dead thread and gets criticize reviving it.
User creates a copy and gets flamed for not searching.

If you add nothing valuable, then don't bump it.

As long as its relevant, I see people bumping old threads all the time with no problems.
It's when you bump a thread with "lol", "+1" and that garbage that you might run into some problems.

I don't see what the big issue is here. If you do a search and couldn't find a thread that was already created, you create a new one. Unless the thread that is being bumped is years old and the information is out of date.

So one shouldn't receive any infractions for bumping a 5 year old thread?

Reason: removed non mod. This is your final warning, if you did PM the non mod, there will be a temp ban

Hmm...i didn't think threats from admin/members to members/admins were tolerated by RFD.

That was simply a clear warning despite Yao's flair for the dramatics. It's pretty obvious the whole lot of you is just pushing the boundaries on what you can get away with and then crying foul when you get a reaction. Even now there are members who don't even bother responding to the lot of you because they simply don't want to put up with the harassment and headaches that follow.
Keep bullying that one particular user and you don't expect there to be consequences? Grow up for goodness' sake.

so why did i get infraction points?? i was planning on buying a used bmw.....
why are the infraction points so inconsistent? i seem to be getting a lot of point for the softest stuff while other people are hard trolling and get shorter points.

So you admit to trolling (but soft trolling) and are now complaining about the infraction points you received?:facepalm:

To put this in a hypothetical situation you'd understand...
This is like a known former convicted car thief driving down the street in a brand new Porsche complaining that the police pulled him over to check his ownership papers for the Porsche instead of pulling over the mother with two kids in the backseat of a Sienna to check her ownership papers.

im just referring to generally. i see other people post worst stuff. i got 5 points from csksmom (she was probably on mad power rage) for the smallest thing while syne made a complete thread asking which jacket to buy. this is just an example.
I haven't seen your thread/post, so I can't say for sure. I have seen Syne's "OSAP 4 CG" thread.
The difference probably is that Syne's obvious troll thread turned into a semi-serious discussion with actual content before mods could lock for low content OP.
But that thread probably got Syne put on notice (officially or unofficially, nobody will know), which might explain why he got Temp Banned soon after since he added onto his history of trolling.
